Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon

Great game

If you love bayonetta lore, I'd say this would be an ideal way to piece the origin. It's cute and fun to play with family, unlike the other games in the series. my baby loves it!

I love the Bayonetta series and bought this to 1) have all 4 games physically for the Switch and 2) to keep sealed for the future because most people and even normal Bayonetta fans are going to skip this one, thus low sales numbers to maybe jump this game’s value in 7-10 years. Ill wait for a digital sale or buy a cheap opened copy to play this, because this game does look very interesting to me!

I'll preface this that I've never played a Bayonetta game before this one but it is absolutely playable without any knowledge and honesty makes me want to know more of her story after playing through it. Cereza and the Lost Demon is a puzzle platform game that honesty gives Alice the Madness Returns and Madoka Magica vibes. The artstyle is unique and gorgeous on the switch and I really liked the storybook cut-scenes. I even liked the game enough to 100% is which I NEVER do, but it keeps you motivated to rescue each of the spirits from the faeries and look for the journals to just be able to read more of the lore and stay immersed in the environment. Definitely try the demo if you are on the fence, but the game is fantastic!

For a good portion of the game you will have to control Cereza with one hand, and Cheshire with the other. It is a steep learning curve. That being said: It is not a terribly difficult game. And, there are options to make it easier. The story is good, great for any age, and excellent for Bayonetta fans. (It is also age appropriate). It looks and feels like an illustrated Fairy Tale, and, the environments are absolutely gorgeous. I loved this game.

It's a tough sell to get someone to try a spin off of a fairly niche franchise, but wow. This game has so much soul and creativity. Controlling two characters at once makes for a very unique challenge for both combat and puzzles. The art style and voice acting is absolutely phenomenal and easily one of the prettiest games on the system! If you care about Bayonetta at all, I can't recommend this game enough. Even if it's not a super fast paced hack 'n slash, it's still a treat for long time Bayonetta fans. I Hope to see a 60 FPS patch on Switch 2 one day!

This Bayonetta game is beautiful and perfect.. Compared to the other series 1, 2, 3 I prefer this one over the other series this is how the bayonetic game was meant to be on the Nintendo switch exquisite...

I bought this to support the guy who helped find the last remaining of the great white elephant televisions during crunch time on this game. I guess I need to buy a Switch now. 🤪 Extra stars for including “press Y for auto page turning”!! So far, it’s a LOT of page turning exposition with not much “game play”. The artwork is spectacular, and the voice work is pretty good, although sometimes they ¿forgot? to do voice work and you have to read the text to figure out what’s going on. So, so far, it’s a cute little pseudo side-scroller with ersatz 3d elements. I hope Cereza grows a pair and stops acting like a spoiled whiney valley girl though! 😜

Este game é simplesmente fascinante! Surpreendeu a todos com estilo "contos de fada", e trazendo uma gameplay diferente dos outros títulos de Bayonetta. Ele pode parecer um jogo tranquilo, mas tem seus momentos de batalhas mais intensas, principalmente no Boss final! Com certeza, é um título que trás toda a qualidade e cuidado que só a Platinum Games pode oferecer. Pra quem é fã dessa série maravilhosa, com certeza vale o investimento!

O jogo chegou em ótimas condições, funcionou certinho no meu Switch, pra quem gosta da franquia Bayonetta e de jogos nesse estilo meio "conto de fadas sombrio" cheio de quebra-cabeças, vai adorar esse.

Gran arte de juego y excelente música, al igual que la historia. La jubailidad no es la misma que los juegos principales de la franquicia pero es entretenido y expande mucho el lore de Bayonetta!
