Bose Companion 50 USB

Rich and detailed sound, really impressive! I first met this amazing desktop set at my friend's a year ago. It was companion 5 and after my pal showed how good it was I was shocked by it's small in size and big in sound. Days afterward I can't forget the feeling listening to it. So when I realized that there's an improved model for easier connection with computers and devices I ordered immediately. I'm in Australia and Companion 50 doesn't sell here but luckily Amazon do :) Today I received my Bose C50 and I set every thing ready very quick. As I pressed the play button of my SONY ZX100, I know it's still the thing as the first day i met it - giant soundstage that you won't believe coming from this set, with detailed infomative express which I believe is intended by the composer, and full, deep, clear, accurate bass which hits you at the right place. Also I tested in multiple games and they're brand new experiences as thrills become thriller weapons become more realistic enemy steps become more clear. Haven't test with movies but do you think it will fail me? I love this set, literally couldn't be better. BTW, this is exactly BOSE Companion 50 I don't know what the "Active" stands for but I believe if you buy another set of this from BOSE, there won't be any differences between them.

Wonderful, crystal clear, full sound. We use it in our livingroom which is not huge and its great. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic speakers, definitely recommend these. I use them for my gaming PC

This product was supplied with a foreign (probably American) 2 pin power electrical plug. Fortunately I found a UK 3 pin plug and cable on another device I owned. I used that to plug the speakers into the power socket. Obviously, the speakers are useless without the correct plug and cord. Quite ridiculous that an expensive electrical item does not come with the correct UK 3 pin plug.

Outstanding sound and build quality, best in segment.

Thought I should mention here that Amazon is clearly importing European stock rather than selling stock that is designed for the UK market. My speakers didn't come with a UK power plug, but fortunately I had a spare cable I could use. It just needs a power cable that goes to the standard 2 pin plug that many electrical devices use, they're very common. I have included a picture of the included cable for reference. Like many other reviewers I have also noticed a faint hissing noise in the background when they are switch on without anything playing through them - they do this even with the volume control set to the minimum. I wouldn't normally expect this from a set of Bose speakers, especially considering these are supposedly the top of their range for computer speakers (not that there's much of a range!) You don't really notice the hissing once you start pumping sound through them though, and when you do the sound quality is definitely among the best I have heard so I'm still happy.

Plugged it in and absolutely superb, but I had to deduct a star because there was no English plug included and also the title says USB - which is inaccurate - it is plugged into the computer with a jack plug.

Bose have removed some of the function from previous model and also admit after calling them that there is no difference in sound fronts model but yet cost more?? Reckon they removed the USB connection due to people with Windows operation systems as it worked well with Apple

Rezension für die Companion 50: Eines vorweg, wenn man hier die Rezensionen liest, wird man ins Zweifeln kommen, sich dieses Produkt zu kaufen. Leider haben immer weniger Ladengeschäfte die Companion 50 im Sortiment sodass man auf den Internetkauf angewiesen ist. Das mag dadurch geschuldet sein, dass sich Bose mehr aus dem PC-Lautsprecher Geschäft zurückziehen will, da der Bluetooth-Markt boomt. Nun aber zu meiner Meinung über dieses Produkt. Das Lautsprecherset kommt sehr gut verpackt mit allem Zubehör, welches man zum Betrieb am PC benötigt. Ausgepackt fällt einem zunächst die schöne Verarbeitungsqualität der Lautsprecher auf. Aber nun zum wichtigsten, zum Klang. Nach der Inbetriebnahme habe ich mir diverse Musikstücke aus verschiedenen Genre angehört: Klassik, Acoustic, Pop, RnB um einige zu nennen. Nun hatte ich einen direkten Vergleich zu meinen vorherigen Lautsprechern die 2.0 waren und links und rechts von meinem Bildschirm standen. Als erstes muss man sich etwas daran gewöhnen, dass die tiefen Töne von etwas weiter unten, dem Bass Modul, kommen. Diese Gewöhnungsphase ist aber schnell überwunden. Nun muss man ein riesiges Lob an die Hochtöner aussprechen. Diese sind Kristall klar, spielen sehr detailliert Musikstücke ab und sind in der Lage eine schöne präzise Bühne mittig zwischen beiden Lautsprechern aufzubauen. Natürlich ist es hier sehr wichtig die Lautsprecher im Stereodreieck zum Sitzplatz aufzubauen! Hier kann man auch die Vorgabe von Bose nutzen den Abstand von 60cm zwischen den Boxen einzuhalten, in der Regal hat man ja auch circa diesen Abstand mit dem Kopf zur Lautsprecherebene. Also Hochtöner liefern insgesamt eine sehr starke und beeindruckende Leistung. Der Mittelton wird aufgeteilt und kommt teilweise vom Bassmodul, hierdurch wirkt dieser etwas abgeschwächt. Allerdings verloren meine gehörten Musikstücke keinesfalls zu große Stücke vom Gesamteindduck. Von daher kann hier kleine Anstriche machen. Das Bassmodul produziert einen sehr wohlklingenden weichen aber präzisen Bass. Hier bleibe ich mit meinem Einstellrad für die Intensität im unteren Drittel, das reicht. Natürlich gibt es bauformbedingte Grenzen des subwoofers. Da es sich lediglich um ein kompaktes Modul handelt, kann hier niemand erwarten, dass der Sub Frequenzen jenseits von 35hz druckvoll abspielt. Dazu fehlt hier einfach Volumen und Membranfläche. Für alle Musikgenre die im normalen Bassbereich bleiben, ist dieser Sub völlig ausreichend. Wie man schon herausgehört hat, betreibe ich die Companion 50 nur zur Musikwiedergabe an meinem PC Arbeitsplatz. hierfür eignen sich die Lautsprecher hervorragend. Bezüglich des Grundrauschens möchte ich auch hier meinen Eindruck festhalten. Wenn man mit dem Ohr direkt vor die Lautspeecher geht wird man ein erhöhtes Rauschen feststellen. Dieses schwächt sich aber mit jedem Zentimeter Entfernung deutlich ab, sodass es an der Horposition nicht wirklich wahrnehmbar ist oder man sich nicht gestört fühlt. Klar könnte es weniger sein, wenn man mit dem Ohr nah rangeht, aber ich würde deshalb keinen Stern abziehen. das einzige mit was man etwas zu kämpfen hat sind die vielen Kabel. Natürlich sind alle Kabel sinnvoll und man kann ohne diese nicht auskommen. Daher hier auch keine direkte Kritik an das System. Allerdings muss man sich im Klaren sein, dass ein spezifischer Kabelweg präsent ist und man diesen schön verstecken muss/kann. Also für alle die nicht gerne Kabel sehen, müssen sich was einfallen lassen, um die Optik unter dem Schreibtisch zu verbessern. Mein Fazit: wenn man sich mit HiFi auskennt, weiß man, dass ein Lautsprecher der aus Hochton, Mitten und Bass besteht und aus einer Gesamtrichtung abstrahlt immer homogener klingt. abgesehen von sehr tiefen Bassdrequenzen. Aber es zu schaffen ein 2.1 System aufzubauen, welches so eine präzise Bühne als Klangbild kreiert, das ist echt super. Meiner Meinung nach ist hier der Preis auch völlig gerechtfertigt. Kaufempfehlung für alle die qualitativ Hochwertige und vor allem auch musikalische Musik hören.

Remettons les choses dans leur contexte, nous parlons d'un ensemble audio pour PC à 400€ (même si c déjà cher), ne pas faire de comparaison avec un home cinéma ou un ensemble HIFI de bonne facture dont la moindre enceinte vaut le double de cet ensemble PC, mini. J'avais un ensemble logitech THX, a mon gout le son est plus clair, coté basse c vraiment pas mal, je me demande si mon caisson logitech n'était pas plus puissant (en même temps il faisait quasi le double en taille). Au final je trouve que le son est de très bonne qualité, par contre si vous avez une carte son de mauvaise qualité, le son sera mauvais. Eviter de mettre le son a fond sur le media de lecture + son a fond sur sortie PC + son a fond sur volume enceinte, ce sera horrible en principe je ne dépasse jamais 80%. Super facile d'installation. Heb de afgelopen jaren verschillende speakers gekocht en was steeds teleurgesteld over de geluidskwaliteit. Of er waren problemen bij de kwaliteit tijdens online meetings, of het was te flets tijdens TV kijken op de PC. Met deze speakerset is alles helder en mooi. Dure oplossing maar zeker geen spijt van.

Ho avuto per anni il Companion 5.. sub piu' grande e stativi in metallo ma a parte questi piccoli dettagli, il suono rimane lo stesso e di grande impatto. Ottimo Sistema e buon prezzo (non di poco conto) ma la qualita' ripaga in tutto e per tutto

Es de una calidad sonora magnífica, ya la conocía en Bose, y su precio ha sido inigualable, parece que soy empleado de Amazon hablando así, pero creedme, juro que no tengo nada que ver con ellos.
