Reliable and Efficien
I've been using these 400PCS Solder Seal Wire Connectors for various electrical projects, and I'm thoroughly impressed with their performance. Here's my take on how to get the best out of these connectors, following some trial and error and considering other reviews. Optimal Heat Setting: A crucial tip for anyone using these solder seal wire connectors is to set your heat gun to a precise temperature. I've found that 550 degrees Fahrenheit is the sweet spot. This temperature allows the solder to melt perfectly while also activating the glue without damaging the connector itself. It’s a critical step to ensure a strong, reliable seal. Application Technique: The technique you use during application significantly affects the outcome. Start by heating the outer portion of the connector where the glue resides. This approach secures the wire in place first, which prevents any slipping while you’re working on the solder. Once the outer sleeve is adequately shrunk and the wire is secured, you can then focus on melting the solder evenly around the wire. This method ensures a robust and evenly distributed connection. Performance and Reliability: These connectors are excellent for creating strong, weather-proof seals in wiring projects. Whether you're working on automotive wiring, marine electronics, or home repairs, these connectors provide a dependable solution. They save time compared to traditional soldering methods, and when done correctly, the results are both aesthetically pleasing and electrically sound. User Experience: I’ve noticed some reviews mentioning issues with melting or the connectors not holding well. From my experience, these issues are largely due to incorrect heat settings or application techniques. When used correctly, these connectors perform exceptionally well. Make sure to rotate the wire gently and evenly as you apply heat to distribute the solder and glue properly. Final Thoughts: Overall, the 400PCS Solder Seal Wire Connectors kit is a fantastic choice for DIY enthusiasts and professionals alike. They offer a quick, clean, and reliable method for connecting wires without the fuss of crimp tools or soldering irons. Just remember to use the correct heat settings and apply heat properly to achieve the best results. If you’re looking for efficient, reliable, and easy-to-use wire connectors, I highly recommend giving these a try. Just follow the tips for heating, and you'll likely find these connectors to be a game-changer in your electrical projects.

Great Connection, with right heat source
These do work quite well, however you do need to use the correct source of heat. A good or reasonable quality heat gun with a deflector works well, it will get the solder to melt and makes a good solid connection that will test with no major increase in the circuit resistance. I tried a mini-torch with heat deflector in my pre-use testing, its just too is too hot, too fast. By time the solder melts it over heats the shrink tube which then fails. If your looking for a system to same time, this may or may not be the best choice, it is a bit faster than soldering and covering with shrink tube. But you will need to take your time to get a good connection you cant rush the heat. If you have some electronics flux available adding a very small amount to the wires before you slide the connector over helps with the flow of the solder.

Greatest invention I've seen in a long time.
These wire connectors are awesome. The cider mills easily and the heat shrink works great. Very easy to use and fit many wire sizes. Should be very durable and waterproof.

Good purchase!
I have had no problem using these. The only thing you have to remember is to ensure the wires are in all the way (made sure they criss-crossed where I could get them to) and I used heat slowly to get them to melt evenly. My husband took some getting used to them, but I liked them because I could see if they made a connection with the solder.

So good. Makes joining wires so much easier.
Wish I'd known about these years ago. Once you start using them, you wont go back to normal soldering.

Makes a fiddly job super easy and very tidy
Connecting two wires in a seemless and tidy fashion can be a trick, but these new items make it super easy. Will be using these on a boat and in a caravan at first, and if they work okay - which I think they will - I will be using them everywhere!

They work!
Had a need to connect a numbe ofr individual auto cable inline connections. Stripped wire ends, gave a touch of a flux pen to each and of the wires, twisted ends and push end into either end of suitable connector. Then used a battery powered heat gun shrink the tube and melt the wire connection. Had to do this for eight connections and all worked. (Note: due to the cables each being connected to existing fixtures it was not possible to twist the wires together before heat application. No probs.
