Using this to connect my Ableton Move to external synths (Behringer CAT & Sonicware Liven Evoke). This is my first foray into hardware synths, and my experience with this USB interface from CME has been wonderful so far. Looking forward to trying more of their products in the future! Build quality is better than I expected for the price, and I imagine I will get a lot of use out of it. The USB connector seems a bit loose in the port on the Move (Could be the Move's port), but it has never given me any issues over the past month. The midi connectors are nice and snug on both of my devices. The USB converter lights up green when a signal is being communicated, which is helpful for if I ever need to troubleshoot. Cord length is more than enough for my small bedroom setup. Looks clean and like it will hold up for a long time. No issues with data dropouts, noise, etc., so far. Easy to install. Plug and play as advertised!

Amazing product overall. The quality is very good and it didn’t feel cheap or flimsy at all. The only reason I’m rating it 4 stars is due to a technical issue with the midi transmission. I tried to connect it to a midi drum module for my electric drum kit and 2 of the “triggers” were registering on the module but not on this midi device. I could tell because there’s a green power light on the cable that flashes whenever a signal was sent, and it wasn’t flashing for certain signals. Unfortunately due to this I will be returning the product, but for most general midi applications it’s perfectly fine.

This worked where the cheapo ones didn't. I needed it to program my Morningstar MC6 Pro from my Windows 11 PC while also connected to my iPad via USB-C. High value and plug and play.

Functions just fine, as a cable should.

This item works. Bear in mind that this requires a computer to do the USB to MIDI translation. It really sucks that you can't get a simple device that can do that transformation without involving a computer. But this works just like the manufacturer said it would. I went in both directions with it: Computer powering MIDI device via USB. MIDI device powering DAW on computer via a MIDI out and USB in to the computer.

It shows up in their WIDI too about 75% of the timel, which is supposed to be for midi mapping and routing. You would think this works great, especially with other CME devices. Nope. When it DOES get recognized by the WIDI host software, it usually is bugged out to hell. you can see that it is there but you can't even select the midi mapping or routing controls because they're all greyed out, and a message at the bottom of the window tells you there is either no device or that it has an error connecting to it. WHEN it ALL shows up as it should, you can map and route til your hearts content, and after you are done, it doesn't give work the way it's setup and all you have done is waste a monumental amount of time. SO let's bypass that WIDI host software. That should be fine as long as the computer reads your cable as a midi device, right? good luck. i originally bought this when first their WIDI bluetooth thru6 pe whatever it is failed to work in the same fashion, and their MIdi 6 box didn't work either. i don't know why i kept entrusting them with my hopes and money. I am a sucker i guess. my goal was simple: hook my Casio Cz-101 up to my computer to use with Plugin Boutique's Virtual CZ software for patch editing and stars dumping/loading. The software recognizes it but error's out or just fails to do anything when it comes down to brass tacks. So disappointing. So much money down the toilet.

Plugged in and worked, no problem and no fuss!

Bisher habe ich für 5-pol Midi-Geräte am PC mit einem billigen No-Name-USB 2.0-Adapter verbunden, was eigentlich immer gut funktioniert hat. Als ich letztens ein älteres Roland PC-180E Midi-Keyboard geerbt habe und es an den Computer anschließen wollte, wurde der alte Adapter zwar erkannt, bekam aber kein Signal vom Roland. Nach langem Ausprobieren, habe ich das Midi-Keyboard auseinandergenommen um zu sehen, ob evtl. eine Steckverbindung nicht angeschlossen war, oder irgend ein anderer Defekt vorlag. Nix! Das Keyboard war trotz seines Alters in einem optimalen Zustand. Nach mehreren Tagen Recherche und Kopfzerbrechen, woran et wohl jelejen haben mag, dass kein Signal beim Adapter ankam und ich das alte Keyboard schon als defekt in die Bucht stellen wollte, fiel mir ein, es mal an meine Korg-Workstation anzuschließen und siehe da: Es funktionierte. Nur eben am PC nicht und das Adapterteil war auch nicht kaputt. Aber es kam kein Signal vom Roland. Dann grub ich noch tiefer in den Foren und fand einen einzigen Eintrag, in dem irgendein Nerd einen sogenannten "Optokoppler" in den Billigheimer Adapter eingelötet hat, weil er das gleiche Problem hatte. Also weitergesucht und schließlich dieses Teil von CME gefunden, was im Internet hochgepriesen wird und anscheinen das einzige Gerät ist, was für alle Midi-Verbindungen zuverlässig funktioniert. Nun geht auch mein Roland MIDI-Keyboard am PC und ich bin glücklich. Es sind wirklich nur ein paar Euro mehr für ein endlich funktionierendes und gut durchdachtes und hochwertiges Gerät. Besonders gut finde ich die Bezeichnungen an den Steckern (To MIDI IN - To MIDI OUT) damit gar nicht erst Verwirrung bei den Steckerverbindungen aufkommt. Danke CME Gut finde
