Got these lights today. They work GREAT with Google Home! Change colors and brightness, turn on/off with voice control. Very bright! Great ambiance lighting. I have them on back of my Vizio 55in M-series tv.Now the negatives, tape backing doesn't stick at all, light strip doesnt do right angle turns. The app Smart Life has very limited functionality. Lights dont chase, do patterns or mix color sections, or change with music beats or anything the competition does. Also I occasionally hear a high pitch whine or hum through my sound system when they change to certain colors or level of brightness, but that seems to have faded. Also a pure white option would be nice. Can only get white when app is set to reading mode and cant control brightness of it.Some of these features could be added with an app update possibly. But saving $50 from the Lifx option they do fine for the bargain hunter only interested in ambiance. If you need dance lights try something else until they add the features to an app that seems to want to control many different devices instead of just controlling one thing very well. Overall Im happy with them. It breathes life into a plain room and gives theater ambiance and a little elegance.
