Essential tool
Smaller than expected but does the job perfectly.

Great for Narrowboats
The analogue voltmeter on my boat has become inconsistent recently and I needed another measure to give me confidence that my leisure batteries were properly charged. This little gadget fits the bill nicely. I can plug it in on the boat’s instrument panel and also into a 12v socket in the saloon so I can keep an eye on the batteries during the evening as well. In terms of accuracy I’ve compared the reading with an expensive multimeter I own and it seems to be ‘bang on’. I decided on this one rather than an unbranded version as I assumed the German manufacturer would have at least ensured good quality control even if they had outsourced manufacturing to China, which let’s be honest is where everything electronic is made these days!

Seems OK
Just plug it in, simple to use. Not sure how accurate it is, and as mine is low down in the car, I wish the dial was a bit brighter, so I don’t have to stoop down to read it. Or preferably if the face was angled up slightly? Think it would give me forewarning of battery trouble, which is what I want.

Effective for reading the voltage of the 12volt battery
This device is effective for reading the voltage of the 12volt battery when plugged into a 'cigarette lighter' socket in a car. The fit and size are perfect and the display is bright unless the sun is shining directly on it. It's simple to use, simply plug it in and the voltage is displayed. This is good value for money for being able to get a quick indication of the 12v supply.

Ideal solution ,to know your battery needs charging.
Really good simple gadget , Im not using my car much at the moment, this is a very easy way to know my battery isn't going to let me down.

Excellent gadget for the car
Not nessarsay to keep in the car all the time but I do just to make sure the charge level on the battery is normal and alternator is working as it should. Although the voltage on my image looks a little high without the engine running (it's usually displaying around 12.5V), the car is a full hybrid so it take voltage from where it chooses. There are other cheaper models on the market but I like the green and red LED's that instantly shows if your battery is good or depleated.

Perfect !
This is perfect for plugging in to your 12v TV outlet then turning the leisure battery supply on to gauge you’re leisure battery voltage especially if you have a Sargent controller that only provides leisure battery voltage levels in coloured LED. I also used it to check the solar input to my leisure battery. I tested the accuracy against a brand new leisure battery and it read 14.7v. My solar float is 13.5v and it read 13.5v when my MPPT controller went to float. It’s worth a buy if you don’t already have a digital voltage read out in your campervan. Worth every penny !

A very useful little gadget if you suspect you may have battery problems
I checked my Power-Check device against a professional multimeter which is accurate to 0.05%, using a low-noise laboratory power supply as the voltage source. From 9V to 16V at room temperature the error in the indicated voltage varied between 0.0V and 0.2V (always on the low side). That's better than about 2% accuracy, which isn't too bad for cheap, Chinese-made consumer gadgets. Below 9V the readings become rubbish, never dropping below 8V and not even maintaining monotonicity, but I don't think that's really going to be a problem because if your battery voltage is less than 9V then you know for sure you're in trouble. The voltage measurement resolution is 0.1V. The readings were very stable in the lab, and in the car they are still fairly stable don't flicker around. The green LED lights up for indicated readings from 12.1V to 14.9V and the red LED lights up outside this range. I didn't check 24V operation. In my car (first generation Mazda6) the device is small enough to close the flap over the cigar lighter socket/ashtray with it still plugged in. It consumed about 13mA when operating. My cigar lighter socket is unpowered when the ignition key is removed but if, for some reason, yours isn't then the current draw is low enough that you could probably leave this voltmeter plugged in permanently as long as your battery is in good condition and you drive the car frequently. Although it says "Germany" several times on the device, packaging and instruction leaflet it is actually made in China ("Made in PRC by ANSMANN Germany").

Hij doet het, maar zoals anderen hier ook al aangeven geeft de meter een veel te lage spanning aan. Volgens metingen is dit bij mij 0,4-0,5 Volt te weinig en dat vind ik echt niet kunnen.

Super Teil, zeigt sehr exakt an.

Gives a good indication of the voltage of the circuit. Can't give an appreciation about the precision as is, since the voltage drops since electric components are consuming electricity from the battery before starting the engine. Still, should be within range and readings are consistent.
