The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Review – Clearer and Less Oily SkinI
I really like The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum. It helps reduce oiliness and makes the skin look clearer and smoother with regular use. After a few weeks, my skin feels less oily and my pores look a bit more refined. The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly, so it layers well with other skincare products. It is also very affordable, which makes it a great choice for daily use. However, for some people it can feel a little strong at first or cause slight irritation, so it’s best to start slowly. Overall, it is an effective and budget-friendly serum for improving skin appearance.

Affordable, Amazing facial care must have (for me)
This toner has worked miracles for my skin texture. I have suffered from acne for a long time and have struggled to find the right combination of products to help my skin and not make it worse. This toner, in combination with the same brand of moisturizer, has helped IMMENSELY. The redness of my skin and the size of my pores have gone down. I noticed a big difference within around a week. I know everyone’s skin is different, and believe me, I know that products that work for one person will not always work for another. However, for me personally, this product with the moisturizer has done its job, and I am a repeat buyer and will continue to be. The product is pretty much scentless, feels good on my face , and takes a very small amount to cover my whole face. Another bonus factor is the included dropper- this makes the application of the product VERY easy, and I feel like I waste a lot less product. The only ‘negative’ was that when I initially used this product alone my skin was a bit dried out, BUT I just added the same brand’s moisturizer and my skin feels almost flawless. I DO still have some acne but the amount is way less, and nothing else has come close to helping as much as this has. Last thing I'll say is if you're considering it and are unsure, just do it ! You literally cannot beat the price (I know I have tried COUNTLESS products way more expensive than this) and if your skin dries out a bit this company makes great moisturizer that does not seem to clog my pores- try it !

Frequently Purchased
I’ve been using The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% consistently for several weeks now, and it has genuinely earned a permanent place in my skincare routine. As someone with blemish-prone and combination skin, I’m always cautious when introducing new products—but this serum has exceeded my expectations in both performance and value. First, the texture is lightweight and water-based, which makes it easy to layer with other skincare products. It absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy or sticky residue (as long as you don’t over-apply). I use just 2–3 drops for my entire face, and that’s more than enough. It sits well under moisturizer and sunscreen during the day and works seamlessly into my nighttime routine. What really impressed me is how visibly it helped balance my skin. Within the first couple of weeks, I noticed a reduction in excess oil production—especially in my T-zone. My skin looked less shiny throughout the day, and my pores appeared more refined. Over time, it also helped calm down active breakouts and reduced the frequency of new ones. While it’s not a miracle overnight fix, it works steadily and reliably. The 10% niacinamide concentration feels effective without being overly harsh. I experienced very minimal irritation, and that was only when I accidentally used too much product. Once I adjusted the amount, my skin tolerated it beautifully. The addition of zinc seems to support oil control and overall skin clarity, making it especially helpful for acne-prone or congested skin types. Another major advantage is the price point. The Ordinary is known for affordable, ingredient-focused skincare, and this serum delivers high performance without the luxury markup. It feels like you’re getting a clinical-grade formula at a fraction of the cost of similar products. Constructively speaking, beginners or those with sensitive skin may want to start slowly—perhaps once a day—to ensure their skin adjusts well to the higher concentration of niacinamide. Also, applying too much can sometimes cause a slight pilling effect, so less truly is more with this product. Overall, I would highly recommend The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% to anyone struggling with oiliness, enlarged pores, or frequent breakouts. With consistent use, it helps create a smoother, more balanced, and healthier-looking complexion. It’s simple, effective, affordable, and delivers exactly what it promises—which is honestly everything I look for in a skincare product.

super helpful for textured skin
this is a great product i've been using it for years! i used to have blemish prone skin and get acne flare ups but using this has helped quite a bit and even has helped with the hyperpigmentation left behind after having acne. there is no fragrance and no reside left behind. it goes on clear. make sure to not overdo it, use less to begin with because if you use too much it can cause a rash. so start slowly and then you can work your way up. the bottle size lasts about 2-4 months depending on use. super effective for scarring and redness too. a great buy and great value for the price! only 4 bucks! can be drying to skin if overused.

Simple, affordable serum that actually helps control oil and smooth skin
I’ve been using The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% for a few weeks now, and honestly, I get why so many people recommend it. My skin tends to get oily, especially in the T-zone, and I’ve noticed a real difference in how balanced it looks throughout the day. It doesn’t completely eliminate oil (nothing magically does), but it definitely helps keep it under control. I also had some minor breakouts and uneven texture, and this serum seems to calm things down. My skin looks smoother, and some of the redness has reduced. It absorbs pretty quickly, though it can feel a little tacky if you use too much, so a few drops go a long way. One thing I appreciate is that it’s affordable compared to other skincare products that do similar things. No strong fragrance, simple packaging, and it does what it claims without overpromising. Overall, it’s become a regular part of my routine. Not a miracle in a bottle, but a solid, reliable product that actually helps improve the skin over time.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
The Ordinary’s Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is a popular skincare serum that targets blemishes, uneven texture, excess oil, and enlarged pores. Niacinamide (vitamin B3) helps regulate sebum production, improve clarity, and refine the look of skin texture, while zinc supports a calmer, balanced complexion. This formula has a lightweight, water-based texture that absorbs quickly without feeling sticky or heavy. It layers well under moisturizers and sunscreen, making it easy to include in both morning and evening routines. Many users notice reduced shine and smoother skin appearance after consistent use over several weeks. It’s especially suited for oily or combination skin, though those with dryness can also benefit if they pair it with a good moisturizer. Because it’s a concentrated active, it’s best introduced gradually—especially if you’re new to niacinamide—to avoid potential sensitivity. Pros: ✔ Helps control oil and minimize the appearance of pores ✔ Lightweight, fast-absorbing formula ✔ Works well under other skincare products ✔ Great value for a high concentration serum Cons: ✖ Results take a few weeks to build ✖ May be slightly irritating for very sensitive skin ✖ Not a direct acne treatment (best combined with other actives) Overall: A versatile and effective everyday serum that supports smoother texture and more balanced skin, especially for oilier complexions.

Affordable Skin Staple That Proves Expensive Isn’t Always Better
At 52, post-menopausal, with mature dry skin, I’ve tried products from every price range, from basic drugstore to luxury skincare. One thing I’ve learned is that expensive packaging and a high price tag do not automatically mean better results. This serum is one of the best examples of that. There’s a reason this product has so much attention and competition. It’s simple, affordable, and genuinely useful in a lot of routines. Niacinamide is one of the most versatile skincare ingredients out there. It’s known for helping improve the look of enlarged pores, uneven tone, dullness, excess oil, and overall skin texture while also supporting the moisture barrier. This formula pairs 10% niacinamide with zinc PCA, which is commonly used to help with visible shine and congestion. The brand markets it for brightness, smoother texture, and barrier support. This is not a miracle product. It’s a consistent-use product. You’re not going to wake up with brand new skin after one night. What you can expect with regular use is skin that looks more balanced, smoother, clearer, and healthier over time. For mature skin, niacinamide can be especially helpful because it addresses multiple concerns at once. It can help with dullness, roughness, uneven tone, and barrier support—all issues that often become more noticeable with age. The texture is lightweight and water-based, making it easy to layer into a routine. It absorbs fairly quickly, though I find best results come from using a modest amount. If too much is applied, some people notice pilling or a foamy feel, which is common feedback with this product. In terms of moisturizing, I view this as a treatment serum rather than a hydrator. It is not enough on its own for dry skin like mine, so I always follow with a moisturizer. Used that way, it fits nicely into both morning and evening routines. Another plus is fragrance. It stays focused on ingredients rather than unnecessary scent, which I appreciate in treatment products. Who is this best for? Anyone dealing with uneven texture, visible pores, dullness, blemish-prone skin, oilier skin, or anyone wanting a smart low-cost serum that can benefit many skin types. Who may not love it? Very dry or sensitive skin types may want to start slowly or choose a lower-strength niacinamide first. If you prefer rich creamy serums, this will feel more functional than luxurious. What stands out most is the value. This is the kind of product that reminds you skincare does not need to be expensive to be effective. Straightforward ingredients, fair price, and the kind of steady results that build with consistency.

Helped with redness and a great everyday serum
I’ve been using this for a while now and I do feel like it’s helped with my redness, which is something I’ve struggled with. It’s lightweight and easy to use, and I haven’t had any issues layering it with my other products. I usually put it on before my moisturizer and it works well in my routine. I also just really like this brand in general. I honestly haven’t tried anything from The Ordinary that I didn’t like, and this is another one I keep going back to. For the price, it’s definitely worth trying if you’re dealing with redness or just want something simple to add to your routine.

Great product Great price
Very nice, I just recently started using Niacinamide and I do have dry skin and was afraid it would be too drying but I also have mature 50-year-old skin and it doesn't dry out my skin at all. When I was researching this product it said that because I have mature skin, it would likely not dry out my dry skin more and would sort of balance itself out and it does it actually, tightens my skin without drying. I'm so impressed with The Ordinary Niacinamide it makes my skin look and feel lovely. I cleanse my face then use the Niacinamide, and wait for five minutes then use hyaluronic acid wait half an hour then moisturizing cream and since I started using this Niacinamide my face feels amazingly soft, tightened and moisturized. I absolutely love it I just ordered The Ordinary hyaluronic cream and I can't wait to use that in my skin care routine as well to see if it makes a big difference too. I highly recommend if you want your face to feel great. I am not a bot.

Simple, effective, and actually clears your skin
I’ve tried a lot of serums over the years, and this is one I keep coming back to. It’s lightweight and absorbs quickly, sinking into the skin within seconds without feeling greasy. If you use too much it can feel slightly tacky, but with just a few drops it layers perfectly under moisturizer and makeup. I found it very gentle overall, with no burning or redness, even on more sensitive days. If your skin isn’t used to niacinamide you might feel a slight tingling at first, so it’s worth starting slow. The dropper makes application easy and you only need a small amount for your whole face, so the bottle lasts a long time and doesn’t pill with other products. Within a couple of weeks, my skin looked more even and less congested. It helps calm breakouts, smooth texture, and makes pores appear smaller. It also leaves the skin feeling soft, fresh, and balanced, with no heavy or oily residue. For the price, it’s honestly hard to beat. If your skin is prone to blemishes or oiliness, this is a simple product that actually delivers. Good value

Prodotto ottimo
Lo compro e lo ricompro da anni, non posso più farne a meno. Specialmente d’estate lo uso anche da solo senza aggiungere una crema. Mi ha aiutato e mi aiuta con brufoletti, secchezza, rossori e macchiette.

Use regularly for seeable results
If used regularly, it gives great results. Just make sure it's original when you buy it. What worked best for me was using a cleanser first preferably one with vitamin C to wash my face. After it dries, I apply the product, leave it for 15 minutes, then follow up with a fragrance-free moisturizer cream because the serum itself has little fragrance, to avoiding irritating sensitive skin.
