Awesome Product!
I have a 2015 RAM 1500 sport quad cab. It is the 5.7 l V8 hemi. I bought these to make it easier for my wife who has her problems to get into the truck. And also myself who is 5'6 and a little boost does help getting into the truck. It took about an hour to an hour and a half to install. But that I believe was due to the fact that I installed them in an RV campground on gravel. Grouping all the pieces together and putting the nuts and bolts together prior to the installation took the longest time. Just as a suggestion I found easy was once I separated the nuts bolt and washers into their respective groups, I lined up all the bolts standing upwards and then put the washer and end bolt on to make it easier just to grab and install when needed. I hope that makes sense. I would definitely have a duplicate set of either socket wrenches or regular wrenches, knee pads and even something comfortable to lie on your back while installing under the truck. Definitely wear a set of eye protection if your truck is dirty on the undercarriage. But once I had all the bolts and respective parts put together which took about 20 minutes. Mind you I was taking my time. It took about 15 to 20 minutes per side of the truck to install each rail. I definitely tightened everything a hair overtight. But the end result is I can easily stand on the rail without anything moving. I am roughly 220 lb and it easily holds my weight. As for the ease of step it is definitely lower than most Nerf bars making it easy to step into the truck. It is definitely a non-slip surface to step on making making me feel sure-footed and confident that I wouldn't accidentally slip even when the bar has been soaking wet from a thunderstorm. My wife loves how the bars look and their functionality. For the money and the ease of installation, the return on investment makes these probably the best Nerf bars to buy while on a budget and for those that have any hip or knee problems. I highly recommend these! The shipping was free with prime and they arrived within 2 days!!

Not perfect, but good for the price
*UPDATE* I am increasing my review to 5 stars simply for the customer service. I installed these running boards 2 years ago, and about 2 weeks ago one of the steps broke off (rusted through and full of water). I reached out to their customer support here on Amazon with a photo asking if they offered any warranty service, and no questions asked, they sent me a brand new full set of running boards and hardware less than a week later. For the price, the customer service is top notch. Definitely happy with my purchase! ORIGINAL REVIEW - I took a risk buying these with no written reviews. There were other Smanow running boards with good reviews for Jeeps, so I figured it was worth a shot. I needed something with a lower step for my pregnant wife. Overall, for the price, they work well and get the job done. I got these to replace some really rusted out old Westin nerf bars, and here are my thoughts overall: Ease of installation: Not bad once you realize that the installation instructions are completely backwards. If you are installing these on an early 2000's Ford Super Duty, just completely swap the sides of the brackets and running boards (see photos). If you do that, no modification to the body is required. Build quality: These are definitely aluminum, but the brackets are steel. That means the bars themselves won't rust out, but they are very light and will bend easily if you hit a Boulder while offroading. Definitely more of a city truck solution. The finish looks nice, it's almost a kind of crinkle black finish that goes well with my Ranch Hand bumper. We'll see how well it holds up. Functionality: The advertised '4" drop' is an exaggeration. That's the diagonal distance of the step, but the actual vertical drop is closer to 2" or 3" max compared to my previous Westin running boards. I would have preferred a lower step overall. It does flex a bit when stepping on it, likely due to the mounting hardware. It would have been better to package the lower bracket bolts with hex nuts instead of stamped U-nuts. Also not sure why they made the brackets in two separate sections. The mounting hardware is definitely my biggest gripe, but at least I didn't have to modify the truck. Appearance: This is what I personally like most about these. I wanted drop step bars that specifically had round tubing to match the style of my Ranch Hand bumper. Most other nerf bars/running boards these days are very angular and aggressive looking, which I'm not a fan of. I also really don't like the Bully style individual drop steps. For the price, they aren't bad at all. I feel like I got what I paid for given my budget. Giving 4 stars for the backwards installation instructions and questionable choice of mounting hardware. Other than that, I'd recommend them for anyone needing some drop step bars on a budget.

Installation advice...
FOR a TOYOTA FJ CRUISER... The product itself really does get 5 stars, but the (details) get a star knocked off as; the directions LACK good pictures as to placement of the 6 brackets, and Chinese sentence structure is typically dis-oriented as to the way English is understood! I replaced the bolts and washers with STAINLESS STEEL (to avoid corrosion in the years to come), and I lengthened the 8 x 25 bolts, to 8 x 30, and the 10 x 25 bolts, to 10 x 30, and this seemed to be a positive manuever! One mentionable is that there are 3 brackets that go on each side of YOUR UNDERNEATH ROCKER PANEL, not your Frame (of which they don't bother to mention), and they are oriented directionally (meaning they face a certain way) and you have to STUDY the limited pictures to figure that out! Well, once I figured out the direction for three of the brackets on one side- I installed them hand tightened, and when I put the rail up to the 3 brackets- the (center bracket) was "off" by about an inch! The correction was to REVERSE the direction of the center bracket (which again is NOT mentioned in the directions)!!! My advice is to hand tighten ONLY, the 3 brackets (on each side), then place the rail on the brackets, hand tightening and wiggling until all 6 bolt stations are in love with each other, and then full tighten away...

Did Not Last a Year
Was looking to replace the side steps on my Jeep JKU. We have had them for just over a year. I came across these and thought they would be a great replacement except, these steps are the ones I'm replacing. The did not even last a year. The coating was rusted through and large pieces of powder coating are peeling off! Rust got underneath and it is bad. They looked great when you first put them on but unless you're down south or in Cali, these things will rust out before the end of winter. An emphatic do not buy!
