Solid, reliable, works great!

This is a solid metal desktop device, easy to assemble and to use, despite poorly translated instructions. However, most of the buttons it makes end up with split edges and/or creased and wrinkled surfaces. I tried several tests first, to make sure I was operating the machine correctly, trial and error, right? I made buttons with the metal pin backs and buttons with the plastic pin backs. I tried various amounts of pressure at each stage. Lighter pressure seems to have the best results, but I still get several unusable buttons. In my experience with this machine, about 1/4 are completely unacceptable, 1/2 are maybe OK for personal use, giving to friends, classroom projects, political rallies or business promotions, and only 1/4 are good enough to sell, if you have an Etsy shop or online business. I was intending to use the button maker for this last reason, so a 1 in 4 success rate isn't great. But the machine does come with a ton of supplies, and I reckon I can get enough out of this to pay for the thing, so I'm not going to return it. I attempted to contact the company via email for some tips, since it says "Have product questions? Need technical support? Please feel free to contact us" in their instruction manual. I received a prompt reply that told me to refer to Amazon and refused to offer any other assistance. So... so much for that.

Four stars because this machine is amazing for the price but the accessories are crap. I’ve been making buttons for me and my friends a little over a year now and it’s still of good quality. After you get the hang of the steps, it’s so easy. The only con I have about this is that the button backs are horrible. Almost all of mines broke and I had to keep throwing buttons away because the needle of the back would break off completely or be difficult to even put on because of its looseness. I don’t know if I’m the only one with this problem. I had to buy a different button set backings and those worked amazingly. I’d only recommend this set for the machine and not what comes with it.

I bought this thing to make buttons for a festival and I love it. It’s great quality and took only a minute or two to master.

But after the 50th button it stopped working. It failed so much it just wasn't worth it. I bought a plastic one from vevor, I do not expect the thing to hold up forever but you know when it's done correctly. You will feel it. The metal one bough here you can't really tell. The plastic one is better in this case.

I had a few problems at first, but realized after a few uses the top mount was loose. Once everything is tightened it's super easy to use. Expect a few to not align right, but over all I'd say 90% of the buttons come out sellable, 5% can be fixed with glue, and the last 5% are varying degrees of b grade noticeable glue job to I can't salvage this.

Machine itself is pretty solid with good build quality. Its operation is pretty specific and requires little effort when done properly. Just make sure things are aligned correctly for each side of the operation. The big miss though is that while you get a lot of button-making supplies, there is a spacer needed to make the metal-backed buttons assemble properly. We only received 3 spacers. So no matter how many parts we got. We can only make 3 with metal backs. We tried it without and they just come right apart. Have been trying to reach customer service with no luck as yet. Also looking for just the spacers outside of kits has been fruitless.

Keeps on jamming and does not fully close the pins. We have to glue most of the pins and discovered that we also used wrong glue so all pins my daughter had made (360 pins) was destroyed. Mildly annoying. Not too happy about this product but when it does work it works well. Just seldom that happens

Really great bit of kit! Bought for the kids at the home ed group/my own and I can see its going to be popular. Works really nicely, we have only made a few badges so far but they look good! It's heavyweight, not flimsy. Only drawback was putting it together with the bad english instructions, but got there in the end!

I was having real problems with this 25mm button machine not crimping until I realised the suggested paper widths are wrong. They're too thick. Normal copier paper width works perfectly.

It arrived poorly fabricated. I was initially offered a return at my own expense, which I declined due to the size and weight of the machine. I was then offered a 30% discount, followed by a 60% discount, both of which I refused, as the machine was non-functional and would still require disposal at my cost. After extensive correspondence, a replacement machine was offered and accepted. While the replacement does manage to make the occasional badge, it frequently fails to crimp correctly, resulting in significant material waste with no means of adjustment or repair.
