Q: Unit wont work right out of box, put battier6in amd it wont sink?

Please try to re-calibrate the Level Wizard following the steps below: STEP 1: Set the Base Module in Extended Position, and place it on a flat surface and be sure is turned off. STEP 2. Easily slide your hand under the Base Module and press &hold the power button for 6 seconds, until the "Left-Right" lights blink green, then release button. After a few seconds, all LEDs will turn green confirming the re-calibration. Note: AFTER keeping the button pressed for 6 seconds is important to take the hand out from under the Base Module leaving it on a flat surface.

Q: Does this work if you can't place it in the center of the trailer?

I don't know that it has to be in the exact center of a trailer, but yes, I think it would work. I would try to find a place as close to center as possible though.

Q: what is the dimension if the legs are extended and if they are retracted. Which one is this: 11.02 inches x 10.79 inches x 4?
