Great product
This is an excellent addition to any home gym and you can even do leg presses which is a massive cost saving (see youtube for Smith leg press). I ordered it on the 06/06/13 and it came on the 07/06/13, now that's service. Instructions were clear and it takes about 2 hours to put together. It allows for standard and olympic size weights. The only reason it has 4 stars is when you try deadlifts, leg press or should press the frame moves. Therefore, you have to bolt it to the floor somehow. It does not come with a bracket or and predrilled holes to allow you to do so, which would suggest this issue was overlooked by the vendor. This should not put you off though you'll find a solution to this problem. All in all I would highly recommend this product for any home gym.

Good machine but could do with a support bar at the top of the machine.

Completely unsuitable for use
Starting with the good: Assembly was easy enough. The bench is of an acceptable standard. Now the bad: 1) The hooks do not catch cleanly, meaning that you end up putting more effort in to re-rack the bar than you do in performing the motion, whether it be squat, calf raise, bench press, or otherwise. This is due to a multitude of reasons, the bars hooks aren't actually set to naturally catch, which means you need to turn/twist the bar home, which unless it's perfectly level and lined up with a catch point, won't work. Additionally, the rails flex, adding another variable to the mix. 2) Unless your movement is perfect, the bar will stick and you end up fighting the smith machine more than gravity. Squatting using this is awful, I really struggle to rerack it at the top of the movement, simply because I cant get the hooks to go back in. Meaning I have to either struggle, or put the bottom safety stop higher and miss out on range of movement. Benching is marginally better, but still is awkward, I end up benching with a lower weight than with free weights, and still end up using the bottom safety stops because I couldn't hook the bar after completing my last rep. 3) The smith machine actually moves. As other reviewers have noted, you can end up lifting the smith machine alongside your bar and weights. Honestly, I would strongly advise anybody against buying this. Get the Bodymax CF375 power cage (for the same price as this) and then buy a bench separately. It'll cost you slightly more first time, but at least you wont buy this, find out it's useless, then have to buy the power cage to replace it. I've failed to even give this away.

only part way there
bought this machine about two months ago its a good sturdy machine with a smooth action but, unless its bolted to the floor (no brackets supplied) the apparatus lifts and moves which considering i bought it to make me feel safer as i train alone its defeated the object. if marcy had put the two bars (olympic size only i use standard) for holding the spare weights on the base rails instead of the back it would have made it more stable. shame really abit more thought on behalf of the manufacturers would have made this a great machine, you would have thought they would have tested it first before putting it on sale

Good product and great for home gym
Great smith machine for the price, ideal for my home gym where I have no spotter. Assembly instructions are simple and when put together feels sturdy and safe.
