Sturdy Sweep, Lightweight Sweeper, Lay-Flat, For Carpet, Hard Floors, Area Rugs, 2402E

Absolutely brilliant! I have ME/CFS and I am very weak with little strength in my hands and I get exhausted very quickly.. I assembled the cleaner on a table. Very easy and straight forward to do. The actually cleaning box is much smaller than my ancient second hand Bissell cleaner which still works very well (and better than a vac too) and is very light even with the handle attached. It cleans like a dream, much much better than my vac. I alternated one hand to another to distribute the strain on my hand, wrist and arm that one experiences with repetitive actions and it was SO easy and light to push. I cleaned my two bed bungalow within about 10 mins! I could never do that with my vac. It did not tire me out at all. It picked up EVERYTHING. No bending to pick up bits like I do with my vac. This cleaner will replace my vac for regular use. It slides under chairs easily. Because it is so light there is no exertion or strain in lifting the cleaner to empty, which is straight forward and easy. Even my smaller 'light' vac can be quite tiring to empty and fiddly too and it never picks up stuff very well. This is fantastic value for money and a great cleaner. It is a joy to use. Also there is no noise which is a bonus too. You don't have to worry about disturbing the neighbours. All of my carpets are over 18 years old. Not thick pile which is only fair to mention. This light cleaner now enables me to sweep my carpets more regularly which can only be a good thing and it cheers my spirits not seeling 'loads of bits' on the carpet which the vac has not picked up and which I am unable to pick up due to exhaustion. 10/10 Bissell

So glad I found this ! As a busy mum with young children who hate the noise of the hoover and can never get anything done this is a no brainer. I bought this with the intention of being able to do a quick tidy up when the children are asleep without waking them or the downstairs neighbours and although not completely silent its very quiet, picks up a lot and the children think it's magic and always want to use it. Works much better on carpet than hard flooring but does still work well. Its very sturdy and can withstand being rammed into furniture by a toddler, free standing and slides under furniture too. I do wish there was a tool to clear the hair off the main brush though but that's the only downside really! I would recommend for those who want a quick, quiet, back and energy saving option to tidy up the floor in-between hoovering you'll be surprised how much it picks up!

I bought this as I have MS and sometimes struggle to use our Shark hoover due to the weight. The Bissell is incredibly light but really effective. Owning a Jack Russell who's life's ambition seems to be to shed on every surface in the house, this sweeper is a lifesaver as it's very effective in picking up dog hair from the carpet. I was really surprised just how much it picked up - hair, fluff, scraps of paper etc. Obviously it won't suck up dust from deep down in the carpet, but for a quick daily clean it leaves the carpet looking spotless, and even leaves sweep lines in the pile! The sweeper unit itself feels well put together and solid. The only downside is the quality of the handle - it's four metal poles which screw together, but within two weeks the threads had stripped just from using the sweeper. Easily solved with some teflon tape, but it really should be designed better. Apart from the handle, really pleased with the performance of the sweeper.

Perfect, easy to assemble, small and compact for storage , perfect for removing pet hair from carpets.

Pro's Now I love bissel I have/had several of their products in the past. My mum had one of these sweepers in the 70's I remember it well. If you don't want to keep lugging out the electric hoover or find your cordless in need of charging then this is fantastic. It really picks up well even on rugs. It does do hard floor too but I find easier with a broom due to corners. It's lightweight & great for a little run round in a hurry. Easy to empty & clean. Con's Now I'm not sure if I got a dud but screwing the handles in was abit of a task. The threads kept crossing so had to use wd40, eventually fixed it together. Now first time I used it handle flew off the screw section wouldn't hold so I taped it with duct tape. Eventually I had to do every section of the pole as it wouldn't stay together. Frustrating when it's picking up really well. New problem tho today the rubber edging protector keeps pinging off which is a pain as don't want to bang/ding my skirting/base boards. I'm struggling with keeping it or returning it tbh as in the current climate it uses no electricity lol

It arrived promptly and was just as described. The box was very small but I put it together with no trouble. It works very well and light. My 87 year old mum wants one. It picked up dog hairs and large bits on both carpets and hard floors so now I only need to vacuum once a week instead of daily. Getting my mum one for her birthday.

Love this small cleaner, just whip arpumd the sitting room in seconds. Saves getting the heavyhoover out every day.very light ,tucks away in the cupboard..perfect

My indoor sweeping brush broke so I came on amazon to order a new one. While I was browsing this carpet sweeper came up as a suggestion. I hadn't seen one of these since my mum had one in the 90s! I have a bulldog with a beautiful soft, white coat, however, he sheds like crazy! Especially in warmer months and even though I brush him twice a day! So usually I would have to sweep up and hoover every day (sometimes twice!) to keep on top of it... plus all the muck he drags in from the garden... lucky I love him so much lol. Anyway, I decided I'd get this carpet sweeper as it had overall positive reviews and was cheap enough that I wouldn't mind replacing if it was rubbish. The day it was due to arrive I skipped my normal morning hoover session and waited til this product arrived so I could see how it performed, and wow! I am so impressed. I couldn't believe how effective it is in picking up my dog's hair, even my well-known branded hoover struggles sometimes! It's made my life so much easier in the short time I have had it as I no longer have to hoover every day!! I just whizz around with the carpet sweeper and my home looks as if I have been doing the full works every day, really pleased! The only reason I have awarded 4 stars is due to me only having the product a short time so I can't comment on the longevity of the item, but it does feel sturdy and the pole/handle feels of good quality. Time will tell, and I'm sure if it's rubbish I'll be back to take back my kind words lol.
