It catches everything, even soap scum! The steel border sits neatly on the shower drain and doesn't shift. I use my shower to water my plants occasionally so need to prevent soil from clogging the drain. I needed something quite fine to catch finer soil bits. To clean, at the end of the shower I make an inwards spiral with my finger which catches all the detritus in the centre, I pinch it and put it in the toilet. If I hadn't figured that out it would be a bit faffy to clean as water will stop going down the drain if the soap scum sits on top. Recommended with appropriate cleaning technique!

This little strainer will fit most sinks. In fact it fits so well into its sink surround with its very fine mesh that it's almost invisible and sometimes I forget it's there. The strainer is of such fine mesh that it catches every little bit of sink debris so it needs emptying often (which takes seconds). If you forget to empty it, any liquid poured into the sink will either drain very slowly through the fine mesh if full or not drain at all. Occasionally I have to use a brush or cloth to remove all the fine bits that I can't knock out into my food bin but it's very easy to clean either by hand or in the dishwasher. Looks good too. Highly recommended.

I am keep changing the hair catcher for my tub. Keep looking for the best one. Have been tried the ones like a white flower with a chain, but they are useless. Not only it catches only a handful of hair, the chain got rusting, and even detached and causing further obstruction. Without the chain, the plastic flower is useless because it floats on the water and can do nothing. The other big soft plastic ones are always float when water comes and hair is slipped under them and got into the drain. No matter how big or small they are, they just can't sit firmly on the hole. This one is different because it smaller part just sits into the drain, and the larger outer part just cover the drain makes it looks its a original part of the tub. I think because it is made from metal and got a bit weight that's why it can sit nicely and will not float when there is water. I have been using it during a couple of hair wash and found it did catch all the hair, and most important it didn't float and let the hair slip underneath it. One star is down because I still wait for its durability.

stops *anything* going down sink, but result is frequent blocks and continually trying to empty it into food bin, and cos the mesh is so fine it catches everything. And you can't completely clean it without defeating time saving purpose, so food rots and rots wire too. It's OK, but has weakness. I think I'd go for a strainer with bigger holes if I can find one!!!

Fits perfectly. Very useful for collecting any debris from going down the drain.

Not often, in fact, this might even be the first time that I have given a single star review for something. Size = Perfect. Mesh = Exactly what I hoped. Quality = Not stainless steel. Put this in the bath. Took shower. Collected hair nicely and let the water pass perfectly. Exactly what I wanted. Next morning, great big rusty stain. The mesh is obviously not stainless steel as per the surround. Literally hours after it had got wet it was a rusting mess. Awful. I usually give props for things when they are this cheap, you get what you pay for. But at the end of the day it said it was made from stainless steel, so I didn't expect it to rust out within hours of getting wet for the first time. I could buy a cheap outfit that looks amazing and only lasts one wear and be happy and give it 5 stars, simply because I got my money's worth given the price. Here though, it didn't even give 2 showers before it looked so bad that I am having to find a replacement. Complete waste of time. Even for the money, it's utter rubbish.

Très bon filet, retient les impuretés de très petite taille, mais il faut attendre plusieurs mois pour juger de l'inoxydabilité. Est convenu très bien à mon évier aussi bien qu'à la cuve de douche, elle convient très bien pour retenir les cheveux. Mais comme il retient des particules mêmes très fines, lors de la douche il faut la nettoyer plusieurs fois. Pour le vider, on peut utiliser un passoire-filet de grande taille, où il faut renverser le contenu du petit filet sous l'eau et laisser sécher pour jeter plus facilement.

A force d'avoir très souvent ma baignoire et mon lavabo de ma salle-de-bains bouché, j'en ai eu vraiment marre, car j'ai beaucoup de jeunes filles avec des cheveux longs. Alors j'ai finie par chercher sur le net et j'ai trouvée ce système et je suis vraiment ravie, car ça retient vraiment bien les cheveux et depuis je n'ai plus rien de bouché. Cela ne va pas tout à fait sur mon lavabo, mais pour la baignoire s'est impeccable !! C'est du costaud et ça ne rouille pas du tout.
