The United Nations: A Very Short Introduction

This is a great intro, the UN is a massive organisation that costs a lot yet struggles to accomplish certain things but what this book makes plain is that though there are organisational failings & problems the UN does a great job as well & what we don't want is a world without such a grouping & the anarchy that'd result. Just look at state leaders in the present day & the small scale conflicts that abound, we need the UN & we need states to feel it is their interests to be a part of it.

Brief account as you would expect although very useful

Nice overview/introduction to the topics. Loved the series.
