I purchased 2 of these hives. They are very easy to assemble and very well made. The wax coating is very substantial on both the hive boxes and the foundations. I did have a problem with one box not fitting together. There was a dovetail issue. BeeCastle was extremely prompt addressing my issue and will be sending me a new box replacement. I cannot say enough about their EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will definitely buy their products when needed. I highly recommend this company and these bee hives.

High-quality, sturdy beehive kit. The parts fit together perfectly, making assembly much easier. Each box component is well-coated with beeswax, which even attracted several curious bees while I was putting them together outdoors. Beekeeper for nine years and currently manage 14 hives. Since I needed to expand, I purchased two of these kits—and they are by far the best hives I’ve bought to date. Highly recommend!

I purchase two different kits of this style from two different vendors for the purpose to compare them each other. The hive and components look to be pretty solid. Plenty of wax on the boxes and parts. The inter cover was not notched for a top entrance so I will have to notch that myself. The joints are solid and the assembly was very easy and the wax made the seams seal up very well. The one draw back I found for both the kits was the shipping boxes. The carboard box was barely strong enough to hold all the components in the box. The shipping box should be a heavy box because the shippers are not gentle with these boxes and they had wholes punched into them. They might want to consider strapping the boxes also because when I open the box it just fell apart. I ended up with missing parts and having one of the med boxes being broken. Which they promptly replaced by their customer service reps.

I have bought several of these the price is good for quality. Boxes are well waxed and hold up well to our nasty winters. Frame foundations could use a bit more wax but all makers foundations need more wax. Boxes go together perfect and look awesome once together.
