can you use this item on glass/window and get off without leaving a mark?

I would think so. These work by sticking to the surface as you would expect. They come off by pulling on it to stretch it breaking the bond it has. If it can be placed on painted walls and removed without taking the paint off or leaving anything behind, I would think it would do the same for windows. You may have to use alcohol to clean the window to make sure there is no greasy residue but I can see no reason it will not work. The only sure way is to give it a go. They stick very well, we bought these for my grandsons race track, which is wall mounted, so we could change the configuration. He is only 4 but has never managed to pull anything off of the wall.

Will these Stick posters to glass?

From my experience, they’ll stick to anything.

do the strips damage the posters themselves?

I didn't have any problems with the poster being damaged so as long as you remove them carefully. They come off of the wall and poster at the same time because they stretch and lose their stickyness

How many do you need per large poster?

Hi, 1 in each corner is more than enough. It will be flush with the wall. If you wish the sides and top to be secure also, then another 4 will be needed. It's personal preference. They are very strong and secure. Definitely recommend :)
