Ground to perfection...
Great coffee grinder. This is a wonderful grinder and it is powerful a of decent depth. I have used many grinders from the huble moulinex to Krupps. I can honestly say this is the best of the bunch. It has a 200 watt motor and it feels sturdy and robust. With a little press it pounds through the coffee. You only need to press it for 10 seconds and I have good ground coffee. No faffing around and shaking or opening and checking if it is consistent. It just does the job efficiently and effectively. Like, I mentioned I have used many grinders and this is the best. It grinds everything you throw at it. I ground some nuts, and seeds and it ground them to a powder. I didn't want it ground to a powder, but I couldn't resist to see how powerful it was. The second batch of nuts (walnuts and hazlenuts) 5 seconds and they were ground to perfection for the cake the wife was readying. If you were to buy one grinder from a bunch of many. This should be your first choice. It is Tefal so it has a good guarantee behind it. But, I suspect it will last a good few years. Will it outlast my old Moulinex, which lasted 10 years, I doubt it. Nothing lasts that long. But, 3-5 years I guess I got my moneys worth, due to the amount of grinding I do. My krupps and Andrew James are now relegated to the cupboard.

Superb little grinder.
I am a coffee enthusiast. I go through at least 2 bags of beans a month. I ground beans at least twice a day, sometimes more. This machine is quick, slightly loud, but a great little grinder. Its sturdy and fits in well in my kitchen. It's slightly difficult to clean, the blades don't seem to come out, and if they do, I haven't seen the rosetta stone that tells me how. Other than that, it's a strong, sturdy design that will do as intended without the fear of overheating or less than satisfactory perfomance. If you want the affordability of a hand grinder but for a cheaper price than the competitors, then get this. It's not super complicated and I don't need a computer to decide how fine I want my grounds, that's something you can easily see through the transparent top.

Good for Linseeds
I bought this to grind linseeds (flax) and it works a treat. I already have an old coffee grinder which still works fine but I wanted to keep the two foods separate to avoid flavour contamination. I guess this product chops rather than grinds because it uses a twin blade. The instructions state that you should not use for more than 20s at a time and then allow a minute's rest for cooling before using again. However, the linseed is well chopped to a fine consistency after a few very short bursts and this means I don't have to worry about that. Short bursts are also good if you want to stop before the seeds become powder! It suits me fine and I am very pleased with the product and service of the supplier. The product is very compact and light. The switch is very practical and easy to use - safe too as it won't work without the lid in place.

Great grinder, bad lid.
The grinding itself is fine - I use it for all spices - pepper, cumin, cinnamon etc But the lid is the worst quality imaginable. It developed cracks within months after purchase. I though I will get a replacement lid from Tefal someday and postponed calling them (lazy). Just realised Tefal do just one year warranty in the UK - which is too less as compared to other brands (Magimix - 3) The motor smells too within a minute of use but that doesn't affect the function Update: Tefal responded positively and issue resolved. Five stars for customer service.

Great cheap grinder
I use this grinder to grind coffee for espresso. I know a burr grinder would be better but this is at least 5 times cheaper and does a pretty good job. I grind the coffee in 3 sets of 5 seconds grind with shaking the grinder a bit between sets. This makes the coffee really fine and suitable for espresso, although it probable makes a lot of coffee "dust" which some people might find unacceptable, but that's the problem with all blade grinders. The downside to using this to grind coffee is that if the beans are fresh, some coffee seems to stick at the bottom below the blade and you have to scoop it out with your finger or a brush or whatever. I'd like to add that I am not an expert in coffee grinders (I only have one other model to compare this with) so you should take anything I say with a grain of salt. But for a casual coffee guy like myself this product has been pretty good so far.

Not bad as a basic grinder, but really not great.
I bought this for my brother as a christmas gift, he uses an aeropress every morning to make coffee for himself and regularly uses a caffetiere to brew a pot in the day so I thought it would be good. I personally have a delonghi kg79 grinder which I uses every few days which has been brilliant. I chose this instead partly for cost but also because I felt it would be useful for things like herbs.spices which since my brother cooks a lot, I thought would be better. On the coffee side which it's designed for it creates a fine grind, good enough for an espresso press/machine but it's a bit fine a grind for use in filter machines unfortunately. The design is sleek and very simple to use, the lid comes off, coffee beans go in and the lid goes back on, a bottom on the lid is pressed to grind and it's held until done. Another downside is getting the coffee back out, as it's not a removable inner, a lot of time is spent scraping round the edges with a spoon which will probably get tiresome. My brother says he's happy with it, but as it was a present that may have been courtesy, for me it does an ok job at best, for someone wanting a grinder for different types of coffee maker, look elsewhere.

Not Recommended
Bought this not so long ago and today the blades stopped rotating despite the motor still working. Probably due to a design error. As it had not got a great deal of use I would suspect it would have broke some time ago if it had sustained heavier usage. In addition to this, I was rather surprised to find on arrival that it was supplied with a UK 3-pin plug rather than the required euro standard 2-pin plug. NOT recommended.
