Amaco RUB 'N Buff - Antique Gold, VWARNB02

I was sceptical about how this would work but looked at a few videos of the product in use before buying and I’m glad I did. It is so effortlessly easy to transfer anything into a different colour and give it a new lease of life. I bought it to change the frame colour on a framed print I bought at a charity shop and it worked great, painted over a brown wooden frame with Antique Gold Rub ‘N’ Buff and it’s completely transformed the framed print to go with our decor. Easy to remove as well with a microfibre cloth and some white spirit.

Excellent and easy to use. The tube is small but it goes a very long way. We have used it on door handles a vase. Lamp shades mirrors it’s amazing.

Once you've got the hang on how to use it , it fantastic stuff . I little goes a long way . I saw the size of the tube and panicked and thought i need another 3 but I haven't even used half of the tube.

Good stuff. Great for changing the look of something. Difficult to rub in. Unless I’m doing it wrong, sometimes streaky. Rolls up in balls and more goes on the floor. Would still recommend

I’m really pleased with the AMACO Rub ’N Buff in Antique Gold. A little truly goes a long way, so even the small tube feels surprisingly economical. I used it with a small brush to work it into the detailed areas, then buffed it out with a microfibre cloth, and the whole process was quick and straightforward. It dried fast, which made the project feel easy and low-fuss, and the final finish was absolutely beautiful. What I liked most was how controllable it was. You can apply a very light amount for a subtle warm antique glow, or build it up and buff it more for a richer, more lustrous metallic look. The Antique Gold shade has a lovely depth to it — not too brassy or harsh — and it gives pieces that elevated, vintage-style finish that looks much more expensive than it is. Overall, I found it easy to use, quick to dry, and very effective at transforming a piece without looking painted on. The finish has a softness and richness that’s hard to get from standard metallic paint. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone updating frames, furniture, decorative objects or anything that needs a touch of antique gold elegance.

Love how subtle this is. Really adds some opulence to furniture and accessories. We used it on a mirror we had painted a deep blue and adding this just made it look so expensive. Perfect for upcycling anything really. Easy to use, and importantly easy to get off your hands when you have used it. You Don't need too much to have an impact, it dries super fast and I can see we can use this small tube for others things and it will last a long time. Very impressed with the finish.

Great product but unfortunately looks orange in sunlight

A little goes a long way. I'm restoring a National Cash Register and they want it to look brass. Very easy to use a paint brush to work it in then a small shoe brush to buff it and finally a micro fibre cloth.

L'article à presque mis un mois à arriver mais c'est un excellent produit ! Je vous le conseil, je l'utilise pour un cosplay et rien qu'une noisette de peinture recouvre une énorme surface. Produit ultra pigmenté m'a permi de faire : un katana de 1m47, un casque ultra détaillé, un bras d'armure ainsi qu'une ceinture et des petits ornements d'armure et je n'ai même pas utilisé la moitié. Je recommande grandement ! Sur les photos que j'ai joint il n'y a qu'une couche de peinture, je n'ai pas repassé dessus.

Lassen Sie sich von der geringen Größe der Tube nicht wundern. Bei richtiger Anwendung ist das Produkt sehr ergiebig. Nachdem ich mir ein paar YouTube-Videos angesehen hatte, habe ich einen Bilderrahmen von Silbergrau in eine Kombination aus Silbergrau und Antikgold umgestaltet. Es ging blitzschnell und hat die Wirkung des Bildes komplett verändert. Das Foto zeigt das fertige Produkt.

This stuff is great. Easy to use and it adds beauty to whatever you use it on. Love the color. It dries fairly quickly. The smell isn’t great but it dissipates rather quickly. So far it’s been very durable on the few projects I’ve used it on. Still planning to use on many more things. Will definitely buy another tube when this one runs out. The price seemed steep for a small tube but it’s thick and a little goes a long way.
