How to use a Kamado grill
Having purchased my Kamado grill I randomly bought three books to help me get going. This was by far the best of them! Rather than giving just a list of recipes, it gives the history of this type of grill and the different makes of them. It then goes on to explain how they work and how to set them up and use them for all the different ways of cooking on them along with recipes for each type of cooking. Without it, it would have taken me much longer to become proficient at cooking on my Monolith Kamado and I can now confidently tackle the lists of recipes in the other books. A well recommended read for beginners and existing users alike!!

Great introduction to kamado
This is a great book (in my opinion) to introducing you to the world of kamado cooking which is quite different from a BBQ as i have found out. The information section is great particularly on setup and vent control but i didn't find the recipes very interesting.... reverted to google and youtube for that!!

Kamado Cooking IS different.
Wish I’d bought this book before buying my Kamado, I committed 4 mortal sins in the first use of my Kamado or what I call the vertical line of experience. The worst sin was not listening to The Wife ☠️. On reading Hot Coals provided you read the first 5.Chapters you will find Kamado BBQing a completely different method to burning your food on an open style BBQ, this Chapter should really be at the foremost point of the book as I suspect most will go to the Recipes section. The explanations of release of this or that flavour will go over most heads other than Chefs or committed nutritionist. The various tools and extras was a good touch however. Glad I bought it and recommend you DO read chapters 1 to 5 before making any mistakes afterwards.

Too Complicated
I bought this book because it said it was good for beginners however I found it too complicated and boring to be honest. I had hoped for more recipes so I was quite disappointed. I found it better and easier to watch videos of people using Kamado Grills on You Tube.

Great book for an introduction to Kamado ovens. Deals with all the basics and has some nice recipes

You want to understand how a Kamado works, get tips on settings etc. Buy it. Very useful.

Good quality work and well written.
This is an interesting, well-written, quality book. Its greatest contribution to kamado cooking knowledge is in its description of the dynamics of kamado cooking which all users need to understand. The recipes are also interesting, albeit not the principal focus of the work which is made clear by the authors.

Good Book
Very detailed and well written. Good for beginners like myself and plenty of advanced information for the more experienced . I would put it in a must have list.

NOT A BBQ BOOK
I bought this book after getting my Kamado grill. NOT A BBQ BOOK! But is good if you want to know what your Kamado can really do outside of smoking or grilling and goes into detail about how the kamado functions. An informative and interetesting read.

Bel libro con una brutta sorpresa
Il libro è molto interessante, c'è una robusta parte teorica che spiega le differenze tra i Kamado e i dispositivi del genere kettle, una piccola sezione di ricette e le foto sono molto curate. Ho trovato però inaccettabile che il libro mi venisse consegnato con la copertina molto danneggiata perché piegata in malo modo, è una grave violazione del rapporto fiduciario tra cliente e Amazon.
