My refrigerator wasn't cooling though the freezer was fine. An expert told me what I needed to fix it and I ordered it using Amazon Prime. It arrived the next day. I installed it and now the refrigerator is OK. It was an exact replacement fan motor.

Fan seems to be good! My HotPoint HPS16BTNDRWW garage refrigerator was sounding like a tractor idling outside. My freezer was working fine but refrigerator was cool but not as cool as it should be. Replacing the fan was actually fairly easy. This unit had an additional ground wire my original unit didn't have. I just attached the extra ground to the exiting ground bolt on the mounting bracket. I forgot to take a photo of the new fan motor. But I took a photo of the fan motor I removed for an example. Now my refrigerator is cooling perfectly and very quiet running. If you replace your fan motor be sure to buy some refrigerator thermometers to monitor for temperature swings. I ordered a pair of ThermPro thermometers that have memory to show if any temperature swings occur. Definitely recommend those too!

Worked perfect. I made it harder to install than it should have been. Saved $50 by not ordering from GE. Time will tell if it lasts.

2000 GE frig (23 years old) was making a racket. GE upgraded the evaporator motor (old style - tan, curved compartment) - this fits fine and is a better quality motor. Did not need new grommets or fan, old were still fine. Bought this particular motor because of the Panasonic brand (others had no manufacturer on sticker). Same price or less than the others. Remove the back wall of the freezer (2 pairs of screws). Unclip the wire connector and if present, ground wire. Remove the fan while the motor is still in place because you may need the leverage (mine was quite tight) - just reach behind the fan and pull straight towards you (don't pull on blades). Another pair of screws and a pair of machine nuts (8 mm/3/8" - use a screwdriver style socket if you have one, otherwise a regular wrench works) and remove bracket with motor. Pop the new motor into the bracket and reverse to install. Easy 15 minutes. Highly recommend defrosting the coils before reassembling if ice is present.

Fan motor worked well for me, we will see if it holds up. One star deducted due to shipping. The part was in a plastic bag and then shipped by Amazon in a paper envelope. Probability that the motor shaft gets bent is pretty high. Mine appeared to be unscathed but i did have to inspect it closely. Motor should be in a corrugate box.

Worked great, this was plug and play for the one I had previously and took care of the loud vibration/instability that the previous one had. No complaints, installed it a few weeks ago now and no issues. I can tell by the feel of it that it is well made, not cheap plastic for the case.
