where do the batteries go in the tractor

There is a screw underneath near the on/off switch between the front wheels, this is where the batteries are located.

Will this work well on carpeted floors?

Probably not on deep/thick carpets, but no problem on normal ones. It has large wheels and a reasonable clearance underneath.

Has anyone put rechargeable batteries in this? I've lost the instructions but sure it said you can't? Not sure why if so

We haven't but I'm not sure it's compatible for rechargeable batteries
