Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world. Review: I like the movie but I'm glad it bombed - Yeah that's quite a title for you. Let's be fair about this I've watched this film in theaters and I came out of it enjoying it but knowing Dwayne Johnson and hearing everything that he wanted to do made me less excited for anything he had planned for with DC which is the reason why I am very pleased the fact that it bombed but I do think it's over hated. The film is a very fun ride and it's character surrounding it is actually on point. Sure this complained about the bill and being half-assed but when you have characters surrounding it it's not completely bad individual effects we're actually pretty damn good. If there's one other thing I can definitely say I didn't like is the complete ignoring of Shazam AKA captain Marvel. For Goodwill I've made various considerations on whether I wanted to get this on Blu-ray but with the right price and willingness I felt that it was good enough to own. If anything I'm thankful. Review: Great movie - Really fun movie for DC fans

Worth the price for your library
This 4k Blu Ray picture is amazing, for a movie file, this an awesome disc, but a great picture quality doesn't help the poor script in the movie.

BA Movie Review
It was almost like DJ didn't quite fit the role. I believe it should have had Captain Marvel in it to put it over the top.

The Justice Society of America film that wasn't.
So, seriously folks? When is too much action too much action? Well, it's when one of the top action stars in Hollywood pushes too hard for his own project within a Comic Book franchise. Now, I've been one of the biggest fans of Comic Book movie fans since Batman (1989), hell, maybe even the Christopher Reeve Superman movies, and I also really enjoy the CW Arrowverse shows, at least the seasons I've seen (I've got the entire collection on Blu-ray, except Naomi, which I'll skip), but I'm way behind in viewing them. So I like my action in Comic book media, don't get me wrong, but you gotta have slower, more narrative parts, to explain things, which then makes the action scenes pay off in the end. With Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam, however, it's one action set piece right after another, and you're left with very little explanation as to why they're happening. The new character introductions were very quick, and almost glossed over, to the point of Joss Whedon's cut of Justice League with Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman. I mean I was somewhat familiar with the characters, Dr. Fate had a major role in the Young Justice series, Hawkman goes back to the Superfriends series of the 70s, but with Atom Smasher and Cyclone, I only knew of from the DC Legends mobile game that were obviously introduced to the game due to this movie. Actually to be honest, this film should have been marketed as a Justice Society film with Black Adam being the new anti-hero addition to the team after a film or two introducing the team before this film in order for us to care about each character. So yeah, folls...Black Adam should have been 2012 Avengers but with the Justice Society. Meaning that we should have gotten a Doctor Fate film, with maybe Hawkman as the other co-lead, and then maybe a film about Atom Smasher, then culminating with a Justice Society film by bringing in Black Adam to help face the evil baddie here. But since Black Adam was in development hell for so long, it's a wonder we actually got what we got. I gave the film 3 stars simply because it was beautifully shot, although it appears they shot most of it on StageCraft's The Volume set. And the action scenes were pretty cool. I just thought we needed more story and character development. And that request is an oddity for me as i often scoff at folks who complain about the lack of those in War films. Well in those cases, the History of the War itself IS the story, for the most part. At least for those that are based on true events and not just some fictionalized story within say like Kelly's Heroes for example. And character development within War movies is good only if they want you to care about those particular characters. But for the most part, in war, the average soldier is just your average soldier, so there's no need to fully develop every character in a War film. But in a Superhero/Comic Book film, there needs to be adequate character development, especially if they are not well known characters to Normal people. In fact, one could argue that before 2008, very few people knew who Iron Man was. No joke. He was a 2nd Tier character at best. Same with Black Widow. But they're household names now. But let's face it, the DCEU has been a mess. They did their ensemble team movies before they adequately introduced the characters. The MCU did it right by introducing Iron Man first, giving the folks someone they loved and were ready to go to battle with. I'll leave it.

Sleeper Hit when it comes to booming bass
If you love Bass, then this one will please you. Video is crispy and HDR is spectacular. Atmos effects are dynamic and directional. Go for it. Best part was that it came in with a slipcover so kudos to Games stores seller for that! 🙌🏼
