Great product, much better price than others
My girlfriend first got these, and I needed some. When I first saw them on Amazon, some sellers had the offered for up to $150. for 2, which is utterly ridiculous for a simple pole structure. This was under $40. when I bought it, and well worth the price. Good, solid construction, relatively easy to put together, and definitely serves a good function in holding up garden lights. I really like this and have found several uses for it. I may have to buy more.

Very nice
I used these for my Christmas lights! Work very well! Great height! Stayed in the ground all month without falling even with it being a lil windy!

Good for the money
Came across this set of 2 light poles that were less than basically any other single pole. They arrived quickly. One pole seems like it may have been used b4. Had some scratches where you insert one pole into the other, and I see why. Where the hole was made for the screw, the metal sticks out inside the pole, so I cannot insert the other pole into it (see first pic). I have not yet contacted the seller on this issue, but will update once I do. As for the other light pole, it is perfect, easy to put together and install. Sturdy enough. I actually have a 55 ft line of string lights on it with no support in between. So obviously that is ALOT of tension, but I just put a couple zip ties to secure it to my fence and it’s totally fine. I figured I’d rather have the prongs in the ground and zip tie it, rather than only drilling the pole to the fence post (Bc you can’t do both since the fence post is grounded in cement).

RECOMMEND
Easy to assemble, very easy to insert into the ground, and very strong structure ❤️ they work great and haven’t bent, rusted, or broke in any way! I’ve had 6 of these in my yard for over a year and they still look great 💯

Just what we needed!
Id been holding onto a 52 light string for a couple years because could never decide how or where to put it. Patio or pergola? Well with the help of these poles and a bit of ingenuity you can see it ended up on my deck and pergola. The included instructions show either installing in the ground or mounting flush to a post. But since our posts are PVC and have a decorative base and cap that wasn’t gonna work and no way were we willing to drill into our posts. We purchased a 3.5 inch x 3/4 inch pvc board and cut lengths to fit, then secured the pole onto this using the included brackets. (We did not use the included screws and wall anchors which were too long.) We used heavy duty white zip straps to secure the boards to each deck post at the top and bottom. This set up enabled the pole to clear the deck post base and cap. We were not about to drill holes into our deck posts so this was our solution and it has worked very well. If at any time we want to uninstall them, we can easily cut the zip straps and remove the boards and poles with no damage to our deck posts.

Good value for temporary setups, not ideal for more permanent or high-end setups
These poles definitely work for string lights. They're easy to assemble and plant into the ground using the included base stakes and supports. I did not try mounting to a fence or structure. These are not "precision machined" so there is a fair amount of play in the joints. This means that any weight or stress will make the pole "bend" through those gaps and give you a slightly crooked looking post. It does't appear to affect the function but it does make them look less sturdy. I also used some paracord and tent stakes to help support the poles, just to play it safe. If you're looking for poles for lightweight string lights or similar, and don't plan to have a permanent installation, these are a cost-effective solution to consider. However, based on the "bending" appearance when under load I would not recommend them for any high-end or permanent use/installation.

Great product! Do not judge a book by its packaging!
While unpacking, I thought this product would never be sturdy enough to hold lights or even a string, it has remained upright and is extremely sturdy. Sturdy enough to hold a star with lots of lights including 18 AA batteries. With strong winds during a storm, it remained in tact and standing. Do not judge this product when you initially receive it. Update: 1/17/24. In NJ, we recently had wind gusts of up to 65 MPH and sure enough this product held strong - no issues whatsoever even with the high winds and a 5 pound star with lights and batteries attached.
