Lots of options but depends on your personal user preferences. You can programme a one-for-all control to work with it as it has infrared as well as Bluetooth. I sometimes use a bluetooth mouse as it's quicker for me than using arrow keys on a remote. The remote that comes with it is fairly basic. Can you just connect it to a windows 10 computer or a dvd player and play dvds with it?

You seem to be able to connect anything to it via USB or HDMI. I've connected it to a Windows 10 PC and copied a DVD of home movies to it and played them ok through KODI. You would have to connect speakers for the sound.
