great wee alarm
great wee alarm, smaller than expected but does the job well. Perfect for those hard of hearing and profoundly deaf ;-) Spent ages trawling through reviews etc and decided to get this as I'm a fairly heavy sleeper and it woke me up no bother. Only had it two days and it has wakened me up well.

Excellent vibrating alarm clock
I've been using this alarm clock's 'big brother' at home for well over five years - so when I lost my previous alarm clock going for Sonic Alert was a no brainer. It is easy to use, although do remeber to turn the alarm on as well as setting which mode you want as for some reason they're separate buttons. My one issue is that the cord for attaching the alarm clock to a pillow is ridiculously long so it can move about quite a bit if under (or inside) a pilllow case. It comes in a useful pouch - which would have been much more useful for putting in a suitcase if it was hard rather than soft.

Light up
Everything about the alarm clock is great, easy to use, very strong casing, easy to set up, woke me up no problem as I am a heavy sleeper. Only problem is the light when you want to see the time, it’s orange and so makes it hard to read the time, other than that, it’s great.

Vibrates Me Awake
This is my third review from August 2016 - Five Stars All I need to say about this alarm as this is the third I have purchased. I have 2 in the bedroom which are the only items which can get me up in the morning and I now have one in the living room because after staying up to watch the Olympics I would find myself getting sleepy so having one of these next to me means no more waking up in the middle of the night. I can not recommend this product enough because I am such a heavy sleeper. In my last relationship my partner said the cat would jump all over me and she would rise to shower and I would only wake halfway through the hairdryer cycle. That meant I needed an alarm which would be able to get inside my head and this works a treat. I still have two as it has been known for me to sleep through one and when you hear it you will think how? I suppose that just goes to prove how much of a deep sleeper I am. I therefore tend to think if it works for me it should work for anyone as my hearing in theory is in the normal range. Previous Reviews below: I can not post a new review so I am having to edit my previous review. All I have to say here is I grown to like it so much I bought a second one to stop me falling asleep at night as I am fed up waking up at 4 in the morning as I am a very heavy sleeper. I have upgraded my rating to Five Stars. It still has limitations but considering I was sleeping though about 15 alarms before and now I am actually getting up in the morning it definitely deserves the extra star. This my original review from Feb 2015 - Four Stars I like this product. At first I did not think it was loud enough but I have found if I pop it under my pillow it vibrates me awake so this works better for me. I will say on one day it started and in my sleepy state as I turned over it must have pulled on the chord so it turned itself off and I slept in as I slept through all my other alarms so that is my one gripe and hence 4 stars rather than 5. Despite this setback it still works which is the main thing but I would prefer for it to be a little more robust but glad it works as the it would have been next step Sonic Boom. For heavy sleepers I recommend clipping it to your pillow, despite what I have said above that only happened once, and let the alarm vibrate you awake in the mornings. I slept through this when I used just the alarm on its own and when I used it on a small flat surface it bounced onto the floor where I could not hear it but with trial and error placing it under my pillow works best for me and I know it is especially designed for those with poor hearing. I sat the test at Hearing Direct and I have near perfect hearing and came out as excellent so I spoke to them about this and this was one of the products they recommended. So far a worthwhile purchase so let's hope it stands the test of time.

Saved me getting fired
I used to sleep in all the time no matter how many alarms I had on or how loud it was. I even tried recording myself screaming. Im simply a deep sleeper and found out I wake up and then hit snooze, within that 10mins of snooze I'm back in a deep sleep. This is a life saver, saved my job anyway. I put it under my pillow and it shakes me awake. The sound isn't frightfully loud but the shake is strong. The snooze is only one for 3 mins so no chance of falling into a deep sleep again.

Best alarm yet
I've bought many alarms that didn't fit the bill but this does. Will wake you. Doesn't need mains power and is great for when you travel

I really like it. If you are not a heavy sleeper ...
The buttons for adjusting time and alarm time above the display are rather small. A cordless vibrator is not as strong as a vibrator with cord, but it does have a strong vibration. It is not loud at all, especially under your pillow. I am a very heavy sleeper. I use this clock in combination with my mobile phone, when I travel and for afternoon power naps. For a vibrating clock to be, it is quite elegant. I really like it. If you are not a heavy sleeper it is perfect, in case you don't want to wake up your partner every morning. But only if you are able to keep it under your pillow, because the vibration makes this louder rattling sound. You will not press the buttons by mistake while you are sleeping. The relatively big snooze button lets you snooze for 4 minutes. If you don't turn it off, it will stop ringing and "snoozing" after 1 minute. Best regards Ellen from Denmark

You need this if you sleep like a log
Although I do not have any hearing problems, I have been born with the innate ability to ignore alarm clocks, which although useful on the weekends does mean that unless I set three or four different alarms (with three different sounds), I will keep on sleeping even if an alarm goes off. When set to vibrate this alarm clock wakes me without fail (although I can still go back to sleep right away but that's another matter entirely), it also has a more traditional beep for those who choose to use it, and since it is designed to do so I usually slip it under my pillow and secure it there with the included clip. Being a digital clock it does not tick, which is a huge bonus since I find that a clock ticking can keep me from falling asleep. Although I personally like it very much, and the reason I have given it three stars, my girlfriend does not (in fact I am banned from using it) and don't be under any illusion that you can use this alarm to wake you while your partner is blissfully unaware and keeps sleeping. This may be the case if the person sharing your bed is an extremely heavy sleeper or someone who is regularly sedated, any normal person will be woken by this device because it not only makes the whole bed vibrate, the vibrating motor also creates a lot of noise. Definitely not something to use if you have to wake up two hours before your partner. She also tells me that I seem to have developed the knack of switching the alarm off when still half asleep and then going back to sleep straightaway, the slide switch which actuates the alarm can be moved through the alarm case and this is definitely something the designers should change. If you need an alarm capable of waking the dead, then this is it but you have to be aware that it is far from discreet and more than likely will wake whoever is sleeping next to you, unless you have to happen a double bed with separate mattresses. I do not regret buying it but I am still looking for my perfect alarm.
