Munchkin Lindam Sure Shut Porte Baby Stair Gate | Pressure Fit | White

We’ve had this fitted in a bedroom doorway and it has been very good. Installation was straightforward, the fittings/tools needed were supplied, and because it is pressure fitted we didn’t have to drill into or damage the door frame. It has stayed secure, although I still check it periodically and tighten it if needed. The biggest positive for us is the latch. It is much easier to use one-handed than the newer version of this gate that we bought later, which makes a big difference when you’re carrying something. Despite being easier for an adult to operate, it is still difficult enough that a small child isn’t going to open it easily. It opens both ways and the small bottom stop means you can choose which direction you want it to swing. Having now used both versions, I definitely prefer this one because of the more ergonomic latch.

Brought this stair gate to keep our dog in the kitchen when we answer the front door. Fantastic value for money, really easy to install in a door aperture, very clear and easy to use instructions it's also very sturdy and very well made and has a two way gate stop device that you fit to the lower bar of the gate if you only want it to open one way or stop it opening completely and makes the gate very solid when used. Gate catch is well designed and easy to use for opening and you can push shut it without operating the catch and it shuts with a reassuring click. To sum up. Well made, easy to install, easy to operate, value for money and comes with a 25 year guarantee. What more could you ask for, highly recommended.

I loved this as it was easy to install and stopped my doggies from running upstairs to get up to mischief!!! You do NOT need to scre it into a wall etc. It uses pressure instead and comes with all tools (spanner) to help make the perfect fit. This has been totally worth the money for my oeace of mind. By the way, the lock on the gate part looks like it's out of alignment, but you have to tighten up the gate when installing it and the gate section moves towards the lock. I would totally recommend this purchase.

Overall I thought this was a good gate when I'd fitted it. It took only 5-10 mins to understand, fit, and more importantly test & fine tune the pressure pads. Despite the description mentioning this is pressure fit, they recommended you screw & glue (!) the 4 cups to the wall if using this gate on stairs (which 99% of people probably will). In which case why not just buy a screw-attached gate, not a pressure fit, because surely you wanted to avoid redecorating after?? However, I found that at the bottom of the stairs (gap 79cm) it was so solid, it didn't justify the cups (I pulled & pushed really hard and it didn't move at all, so I doubt a 1-4 year old could move it!). The gap at the top of our stairs is 82cm (the quoted maximum for this gate, without extensions), and the screw rods tilt a bit at full stretch, so I will look to fit the wall cups there (which give you an extra 3-5mm on each side), and if it's still not solid enough for me I'll look at the extensions or a wooden baton for the wall. Even so I would struggle to pull/push it over as it stands now. We bought 2 gates, on 1 of them the handle has immediately become stiffer within a day, as others have found. It looks to be because the rod it's attached to can flex and put pressure on the inside of the plastic handle. I'm going to try some grease & a bit of jiggling of the rod to see if it helps (shouldn't have to I know, but otherwise I really like these gates).

Easy to put up and nice and sturdy. Would have preferred one without a bar at the bottom to trip over but they looked more flimsy with plastic wall fixings - would a child standing on the gate break the fixings?? Didn't want to risk it so went for this one. Like the slam shut-you can hear if it closes. The auto shut could be a bit dodgy if someone walk behind you or child has fingers in the way. As I have arthritis in my hand I liked the opening mechanism of this one - it works a bit like a trigger - rather than the squeeze together type which I would have problems with. Highly recommend.

Really good gate.. unfortunately I ordered the wrong size so was too large for the width of the doorway.. gave it away so someone got the use of it

Important: This gate is not supposed to be used at the top of the stairs. This gate allows us to leave the door to our living (play) room open while preventing our baby from exiting. The gate was easy to install and the mechanisms works well. Our 3-year-old cannot open (yet) either. Although it doesn't require screws, it has these sticky pads which it instructs you to stick to the wall. We live in a rented house, thus I just stuck the pad to the plastic side and left the paper on the side that contact the wall. By tightening the screws (with the included little spanner), the gate is a snug fit in the door and no one has escaped yet. The door can also still close with the gate intact I wouldn't trust it at the top of the stairs and neither do the manufacturers. There are multiple pictures everywhere that warn not to use at the top of the stairs. It's too bad because the gate works well and it would be very useful if it could be reliably used at the top of the stairs. It can be used at the bottom of the stairs safely. I also thought when I bought it that we could use one gate and move it around. For this gate, that would be quite annoying because you'd have to get the spanner out each time. Thus, we have decided to leave in place and order another gate if we need it elsewhere. Or perhaps find another model that is more easily transported. Also, I bought these "wall protectors" to use with the gate. However, they are enormous and cannot be used in the door frame. Hopefully the thin foam pads will protect the door frame from the pressure of the plastic and metal parts.

Hab die Tür einmal zurück geschickt weil der Rahmen komplett verzogen war.. Bei der zweiten Lieferung klebte ein Hinweis an der Tür dass sie so "verzogen" gehört und erst beim Einbau gerade wird.. Hat gestimmt! Die Tür passt super, funktioniert super, alles top! (Nutzen die Tür um unsere Katzen aus dem Kinderzimmer auszusperren)

Ho acquistato questo cancelletto da mettere nella camera del mio coniglietto per tenerlo chiuso ed è fantastico!!!! Ho dovuto fare una modifica essendo un po larghe le sbarre e quindi ci passava attraverso 🤣 Finalmente ho trovato il rimedio per tenerlo chiuso e sopratutto senza dover uscire pazza ogni volta, aprendo e chiudendo con facilità... prezzo ottimo e qualità super!!! Montaggio facile ed è molto robusto quindi ve lo consiglio ❤ sia x bimbi che per i vostri amici a 4 zampe

La compramos para ponerla en el dormitorio y evitar que el perro entre y cumplió perfectamente su cometido. El perro no entraba si estaba cerrada. Si la dejas entornada, el perro aprendio a abrirla empujando, pero cerrada cumple perfectamente su función. No llegamos a usar el pestillo inferior porque el perro no puede quitarlo. Montarla fue extremadamente facil. En nuestro caso compramos algunos extensores de esta valla para adaptarlo al pasillo de nuestra casa. Aun esta montada y requiere poco mantenimineto, cada 5 o 6 meses ajustar los tornillos porque pierde agarre con el tiempo y el uso.
