Well made. Easy to install. Cables appear to be good quality and of ample length Even comes with cable ties and spare 10a fuse. Survived deluge of rain with cap on. Not sure how waterproof it will be with USB in use, so positioning of the port is important. Since it has SAE connectors it can also be used as a feed for battery charging from my Optimate.

Installed on my R125 YZF Yamaha, 2016 reg. I haven't rated the ease of installation rating as this will vary from bike to bike. My motorcycle has a lot of space upfront, fairly airy cowlings so putting cabling in with zip ties is easy peazy. However, the fused back cable barely fits in the tight right battery compartment under the seat. Works fine as a USB, using it to power some LEDs as well as be removable to charge a phone when I'm somewhere new. Worried a bit about rust but trying to keep it dry. I put the port somewhere it won't get directly wet. As long as you take care on installation, make sure the port and exposed metal parts aren't gonna get directly wet or salty, you shouldnt have a problem with this at all. Also, make sure you have your wiring done properly. No shorts or positives to negatives as this will blow your fuses and if you don't have spares, you won't be able to use whatever that fuse powered

Great little add on. Able to connect to motorcycle headlight, so ignition acts as switch. If you put it straight to battery with no switch it will ultimately drain a steady charge, thereby creating a flat battery eventually. Although you could just unplug it near the charger unit. Neater linked to the the ignition though. Comes with a fuse in the fuse unit and a spare. 👍🏻

Easy to install on my 2004 R6. Easier than similar tutorials on youtube. Total of 4 bolts undone to remove seats and lift tank although tank was maybe not necessary. Wired straight to battery so can charge with the engine off. No comment on battery draining as it's too early. Attached the USB end to the back of the ignition with velcro. No wires to be seen anywhere. Comes with 4 cable ties also. Bargain

Easy to connect to bike battery and then feed through the fairing. The cable ties provided are useless. Don’t rely on them. Having said that, when you have it all connected, it works a treat! Instantly charges my phone using my usb cable to the purchased USB adapter. Would recommend.

It seems good quality and is easy to fit directly to the battery, however on my first usage of approx 60 miles my Tomtom Go completely drained the battery, so I had a fun 2 hours in the rain waiting for the RAC. Not thrilled with it, it might be worth checking how much power your device draws

Works fine but not the best quality in terms of build. I also felt the USB adapter part was incredible bulky and quite hard to find space for under my seat, with not much room. Use this in conjunction with the quad lock wireless charging mount.

Se utilizzato correttamente, non da nessun problema. Ho messo un connettore in modo da poterlo staccare quando non lo utilizzo per caricare il telefono. Anche se entra acqua nel USB (quando è staccato), poi una volta asciutto non mi ha mai dato problemi. La carica è tutto sommato veloce e funziona bene. Consigliato.

I needed this cable to connect USB equipment to a benchtop power supply in a lab. It was to charge a device at ~5V that has no internal current limiting and could draw up to 3A which I needed to limit to 500mA for safety purposes. I set the benchtop supply output to 12V @ 500mA and this cable's integrated regulator was delivering 4.47V at 500mA to the device which was good enough for safe charging. Because the supply was operating in a current limited mode, the effective voltage delivered to this cable's internal regulator was effectively ~6V but it could still regulate just fine. Very impressive! In fact it could deliver stable output with the source voltage as low as 7V. That's a pretty good operating range. The build quality overall is great. It's durable, rugged, and having the built in fuse is great. It also comes with a spare fuse too. Nothing about it seems flimsy or cheap.
