Anyone know the weight?

Well the picture looks much bigger than it really is. It's about the size of any other whistle and plastic. I have a small bottle of eye drops next to my laptop here, so to give you a rough estimate it's about that weight.

the strap doesn't seem long enough to fit around the wrist of my glove. Im I installing it wrong?

I put mine in front of the cuff and it fits fine there.

Is the included lanyard the same color as the whistle choice, i.e. black/black, pink/pink? Thx!

As it pertains to my company's current stock of these whistles, the lanyard color matches the whistle color. To make sure you get what you are expecting, however, I recommend contacting whichever seller you decide to purchase from to verify what they would be sending. I believe we have seen Fox 40 whistles of different colors packed with black lanyards in the past, using the same UPC number.

Is it loud enough to scare away a bear, god forbid I run into one while camping?

It is so loud, that you will want to cover your ears before blowing full force. However, that's no guarantee it will deter a determined bear.
