Great for peace of mind at bath time. Handy little thermometer and seems very accurate. It is supposed to turn on when it comes into contact with water but ours doesn’t seem to. You can also tap it on the side of the bath to turn it on. Works better when floating/submerged in water so its not as good for checking running water temperature (for the shower) but I put it in a bowl and fill the bowl with water from the shower to check the temperature. Useful that it comes with a little stand.

Broke after 3 uses only. I already closed battery compartment tightly but water still managed to get in and ruined it. It wouldn’t switch on despite tapping the screen, when I checked to try and change the battery, there was water in it. Also even despite the miserably low life, I also didn’t like the fact that the display was not permanent, having to tap it each time is faffy and doesn’t fit the purpose of being a room thermometer. Ended up just using my kitchen thermometer for bath. I like a lot of other Tommee Tippee products but this one is not worth your money!

Perfect for the bedroom and bathroom. You just have to tap the screen and it gives a reading. For bath time it just floats in the water, you can take it out and put it back on it's stand for bedroom use.

Tested this out before using with baby as had read some reviews that it records temperature lower than what the water temp actually is. I work at a pool that is kept at 34c, this thermometer read 32c. Not great as could mean bath too warm for baby! Not convinced it gives an accurate air temperature either. So will be baring in mind the 2c difference when using it.

We did weigh up whether it was worth purchasing this product. With our first baby on the way, the ‘essential’ newborn purchases have stacked up considerably over the last few months. So, I was slightly hesitant when it came to another thermometer (above the the actual baby thermometer). However, this is quite multifunctional. Not only can you use it by sitting it in the nursery/bedroom to keep track of room temp (for safe sleeping), but, also, you can chuck it in bath water to track the water temp as well. Other water thermometers are more of a faff, but this one can just sit in the water with minimal fuss. If you’re slightly paranoid like me on temperatures of water/rooms/sleep environments, then it’s definitely worth it for some quick, easy, reassurance.

I have used this product for 15 months (approx 3 times a week) and there is now a discrepancy between the temperature of the water and what the thermometer displays. This is very dangerous as even when the water temperature feels above 37 degrees the thermometer does not flash red. I have tried changing the battery and this has not resolved the problem. The thermometer is slow to respond and the temperatures jump around. I contacted the company about this and then have said that changing the battery (as I have done) is the only thing that may resolve the issue-which it did not. They cannot offer a replacement as it is out of the warrantee period. I have asked that my safety concerns are raised with their team but I have not heard back. When you buy a product for £19.99 from such a well known trusted brand you think it will last longer than 15 months. Please be careful using this product with babies and children as the water may be too hot for them and the thermometer may be inaccurate. I would not recommend this product and think it is dangerous.

I bought this for my grandson - his parents bath him in the main bathtub and they wanted to be sure the room was the right temperature as well as the bath water, and this seemed like the perfect choice. This is incredibly simple to use - it has a stand, which you can place anywhere in the room where you have space, and the flower thermometer part, which detaches from the stand and can be dropped straight into the bathwater. It appears to be very accurate, both for bath water and for room temperature. Because of its dual use, it is being used on a daily basis and is a quick reassurance that the room temperature is right, whichever room the baby is in. May update on its longevity once we've had it longer than three weeks!

Nos ha encantado. Estuve mirando para comprar uno para tomar la temperatura de la bañera de nuestro bebé, no hemos podido escoger mejor. Va tal y cómo explican. Es precioso, parpadea una luz si la temperatura es demasiado alta, manejable ... Nos ha encantado. Estamos muy satisfechos.

Do not buy! Have had 3 of these now and they have all broken with water getting into them. Keep sending back for a replacement and getting a new one and they keep breaking.
