This is one of those tools where you feel like kicking yourself for not buying it sooner. While I never felt like it was a struggle to cut things from a spruce when building RC cars, this make it incredibly easy, and accurate. The precision is excellent, and it cuts through plastic with less than half the effort of using good quality scissors.

High quality & very sharp, but use a cheap pair for cutting any thick sprues first further away from parts. This will make these last for years. Ps there smaller than they look in the photo but this allows better access.

Smaller than I thought they would be, arrived in original blister packaging undamaged. The jaws are quite small & look as if they would have difficulty cutting, however Tamiya quality came to the fore and the sprue/runners cut accurately and easily. Best stored in their packaging to avoid damaging the 'pointy bits'! Expensive, yes, but I would rather pay for these than 'buy cheap, buy twice"!

Felt a little too small in the hand and difficult to handle because of the surface texture on the grip. Otherwise a very good nipper with great cutting quality.

Okay, if you're into plastic modeling and still using basic clippers, you have to try these Tamiya side cutters. I'm not exaggerating when I say they're a total game changer.
