It works
Very fast despatch from seller - thank you. It took some rapid googling to learn why my fluorescent light was flickering and here was the solution for less than a pound ! Simple to replace but invaluable. Cannot comment on the life of these units, but I can now get back to drilling, sawing and sanding in my brilliantly illuminated garage.

I gave 5 stars because it was inexpensive and arrived quickly................. While I can't say I am madly in love with it - it helps to light up my life :) Yes I would recommend it to anyone :)

Does the job
Does the job of a starter. Slightly more expensive than many other places including supermarkets.

One of the under-cabinet fluorescent tubes in our kitchen hadn't been working since we bought our house, cough, nine years ago. Fixing it finally made its way towards the top of my list of outstanding jobs. Figured it had to be the starter, so bought one of these 4W-80W starters, to match what was already in the unit. Even for somebody who'd never done it before and never had any explanation about these things, fitting this new starter was a 1 minute job. And now, we have proper light again - success! What can I say - this starter does its job and is easy to fit. Fighting through the packaging took longer than fitting it. Recommended.

After getting aggravated by a kitchen striplight that seemed to decide for itself when it did or did'nt come on I checked the tube to find NO wattage marked and the original starter was blank as well so at the price from Palmer Riley I got a couple 1 from 4w-80w and another 100w-125w had them here just over a day later and started with the 4w-80w and it worked perfect so now no more flickering lights. Cheap and fast and efficient thats what you call good service.

Replacement circular tube
Couldn't get this locally at all so went on line. Thought I might have to replace whole lamp as it was 20 years old but luckily found it through Amazon. Goods arrived next day, well packed and perfect.
