Logitech M590 Multi-Device Silent Wireless Mouse

I had other couples of Logitech mouse, they are always amazing. So, If they claim it is 2 years, it is 2 years. And it uses only one AA battery. I was thinking of buying the Logitech MX Anywhere 3 instead of this one, but that one costs 3 times more than this for a few benefits, and one of the features is not even a benefit for me, that is the rechargeable battery. This mouse's AA battery lasts 2 years, and there are people in the reviews here that attested that it actually lasted 2 years on 1 single AA battery. So, why bother recharging every 2 months? (in case of the MX anywhere) The wheel in this one is smooth, with a click sensation after each line scrolled. I have disabled the "smooth scrolling" in the mouse app, as that does not help, it creates like scroll inertia and it was scrolling more lines that I wanted. Easy to disable tho. The buttons are all customizable in the Logitech App, except for the one that changes the computer between 1 and 2, on top of the mouse. BTW, for those who use it in multiple computers, this the one! The only mouse I saw that leaves the switch in an easy to access button. The other put that button on the bottom or hidden. I work with 2 computers, and the easy switch between the two is excellent. The silent in the name... It is really silent, a big difference from mt M280, you can barely hear the click noise or the wheel noise and you know what is the best? It is still clicky! It is not mushy at all. This is definitively a big feature. No one can hear me clicking in my calls, and also less noise when I'm on the computer until late. Gaming, well, I'm a "casual gamer" and I play mostly offline games. Anyway, I have done quick research that 1000DPI that this mouse has is perfect for FPS games as help with accuracy. Too much DPIs, such as 4000DPI is even worse for aiming. I cannot notice any input lag due to it being wireless, using the USB adapter or Bluetooth. But again, I'm not a online competitive gamer or nothing like that. I just like to have fun from time to time. The Logitech app. It is good and well designed. You can easily customise the buttons, change the configurations and configure the Flow that switches between computer seamlessly, every time the pointer touches the side of the screen. Well, it is a great idea and I used for a couple of days and switched off as there is a dedicated button to do this on the mouse. I mean, it works but it is not instantly, there is a lag between touching and it moving on the other computer. Also, I was hitting it by accident during meetings and presentations, which was annoying. I prefer the button. On summary, this is the best mouse I had so far, I'm happy with it, it really does what it claims, regarding silence and battery.

Quality device as expected from Logitech. It is a mini-sized mouse that is perfect for pairing with a laptop. As a full-sized person with large hands I have no problems with using this product. It is comfortable and reliable to use for extended periods while working on the go. Some people may prefer to have a full-sized mouse that they can cup in the palm of the hand, whereas this mini mouse is better positioned so that it is moved only by one's fingers and the base of the palm can rest stationary upon a table-top. The USB receiver is a multi-device "unifying receiver" and works with a chromebook if you download the logitech extension from the chromestore or install the windows software direct from logitech website for a windows computer. Bluetooth connection works exceptionally well without interference or drop-outs. It enables fast switching between 2 devices at the press of a dedicated button on the mouse. I have tested it with a chromebook, Android 7 tablet, Android 8 phone, Win10 laptop. No problems whatsoever. The button clicks aren't truly silent but they are much quieter than with a standard mouse. Perfect for co-working spaces and late-night work or gaming sessions - you won't bother anybody else. It is an expensive device but on the whole it is worth the price for the convenience of fast switching between multiple devices (making my android tablet actually usable when working with charts) and the quiet mouse clicks. If you can get it on a £35 deal then definitely go for it!

I purchased the Logi M590 mouse and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance and design. It's clearly designed for right-handed use, and the ergonomics are spot-on, with no discomfort even after prolonged use. One of the standout features of this mouse is the integration with Logi Options+. This software is a game-changer, allowing me to customize one-click functions for each app I use. As a Mac user, I've found this customization to significantly enhance my productivity, making it easier and faster to navigate and perform tasks. Another great aspect of the M590 is its support for dual devices. This functionality is incredibly convenient for those of us juggling multiple devices. It allows for effortless switching between them, which is a huge plus in a multi-device setup. The mouse is also very quiet during operation, which is great for working in shared spaces. Its compact size makes it easy to carry around, fitting seamlessly into my mobile working life. However, there's one area where the M590 falls a bit short - battery life. While it's advertised to last up to two years, my experience was different. My mouse lasted about 8 months before needing a battery change. While this isn't a deal-breaker, it's something to keep in mind. Overall, the Logi M590 is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a compact, ergonomic, and feature-rich mouse. Its software customization and dual-device support are particularly impressive, making it a valuable tool for enhancing productivity. Just be prepared for more frequent battery changes than you might expect.

I owned the Logitech M235 for a few years, then I upgraded to the M590, which I used exclusively for 4 months, now I own the Logitech MX Master 3. With this breadth of experience in mice, I think it's a good time to leave a review, which will review the M590 through the lens of comparing these mice. M590 Pros + Near silent keys: I absolutely love this feature. When I first upgraded to the M590 from the M235, I found the difference to be stark. Then over the 4 months I used this mouse exclusively, I got used to not hearing the clicking noise. Note that how silent it is can depend on the surface you are using the mouse on. Now the Logitech MX Master 3 is my primary mouse, and it does not have near silent keys, it makes the clicking noise, and I actually find the clicking noise a bit annoying now! This has reminded me how great the M590 is in this regard! It beats the MX Master 3 on this point. + Weight and movability: The M590 is 101 grams, I really didn't understand how crucial that was until I got the Logitech MX Master 3 - which weighs 140 grams - and experienced strain in my hand the first day of using it for work! I also noticed that with the M590, I can move the mouse much quicker than I can the MX Master 3. So on weight and movability, the M590 again beats the MX Master 3. + Connect to 2 devices: The MX Master 3 can connect to up to 3 devices, which is obviously better than 2. But if - like me - you only have 2 devices, the M590 is just fine. On the MX Master 3, the button to switch between devices you are connected to via bluetooth is at the bottom of the mouse, whereas with the M590, that button is on the top, making it much easier to switch between devices. + Aesthetics: I'd say this is an attractive mouse. The Logitech MX Anywhere 3 is the smaller, lighter weight and cheaper equivalent of the MX Master 3, however, I just don't find that mouse aesthetically pleasing. Cons - Latency: Occasionally there is a delay between your movements and the cursor, it gets laggy and choppy. I experience this with the M590 not enough for it to be a huge problem and deal breaker, but enough for it to be a noticeable flaw. I'd say this is its biggest flaw. Thus far, I've experienced no such issue with the MX Master 3. - Foremost side button: The foremost side button is just not in a position that makes it easy to press. When I have to press it, I have to move my fingers an inch forward, taking them out of a position where I can move the mouse around and still use the keys. Effectively, this renders every other function of the mouse unavailable to me in that moment, and after I press I have to reset the position of my hand to move and use the mouse again. On Windows I configured this button to paste, but in reality I found it much easier to just right click and then click paste, or use CTRL-V. This could just be due to the size of my hands (I'm 6ft3), or it could be a design flaw. With the MX Master 3, I don't have this issue, I find it much easier to press the foremost side button. In conclusion, the M590 is great for its price, the silent keys and its light weight make it an excellent portable mouse, or just a great mouse in general if you don't want to spend £66 on the MX Anywhere 3 or £90 on the MX Master 3. I will use the MX Master 3 as my home mouse and the M590 as my travel mouse.

I have always had a liking for Logitech mice, having used them almost exclusively since the RS-232 serial Pilot Mouse on my first PC, an 80286. The most recent mice I use are the Performance MX2 at my desk and the Anywhere 2 on the go with my laptop. Both of these are comfortable, accurate, and versatile but suffer from one drawback (in my wife's opinion) of having an annoying click when she's trying to watch television and I'm in the living room on my laptop. I tried the Logitech M590 as Logitech claim it to be 90% quieter than their normal range of mice when the buttons are clicked. It certainly is much quieter with only a low noise emanating from the mouse when buttons are clicked, which seems to satisfy my wife's requirements. The buttons still operate decisively and with a little bounce so not spongy. Accuracy when operating the mouse on an unconventional surface, such as the arm of a settee is certainly reduced, when compared to the Darkfield laser of the Anywhere2 and Performance MX2 but still at an acceptable level for most tasks. I notice the lower accuracy when using the mouse for some CAD work such as manipulating construction lines, but for most operations this isn't a problem, nor concern. Accuracy is improved when using a mouse mat or other suitable surface. The Ergonomics are also different compared to the Anywhere2 and Performance MX, not quite as comfortable and easy in the hand as these two mice, but still comfortable and better than most competitor mice. The two thumb buttons and sideways scrolling buttons on the mouse wheel give you the versatility of extra functionality without having to use the keyboard. I program one of my thumb buttons to CRTL+S giving you the ability to regularly and quickly save within many applications: great when editing large documents or editing within CAD. If noise isn't an issue for you then I'd recommend the Anywhere series for portability and the Performance MX series for a desk environment over this mouse, but if quietness is important for you (like it is for my wife) then this mouse is a good buy.

I have this mouse for a year and it's still with his own battery. Very comfortable and light weight mouse. I like feedback from clicking, it doesn't make any annoying sound like normal mice do. Also I like a lot gestures. With Logitech app installed you can customize a button with 5 actions: on click, holding and moving up/down/left/right. It's very useful for geeks or for some rutine stuff. You can customize buttons on the side, whell, and also whell left and right button. You can also pair it with pcvia receiver and with tablet/phone via Bluetooth and jump from a device to another just in one click ( button on top of the mouse ) I'm not a gamer but sometimes I play shooters. This mouse doesn't have dedicated button for changing dpi, but you can customize one of the gesture/button to change mouse sensitivity (it gives the same effect) In conclusion, it's one of the best mouse that i had, it worth the money!

Bought it for work as I wanted a quiter mouse with the addition of the customisable side buttons and it did not disapoint. When I originally bought this mouse, I did quite a lot of reaserch over many different mice. I wanted a mouse that would work on any surface without a mat and the addition of the side buttons; They are extreamly easy to customise and able to set differently for multiple applications on the computer. The main clicking buttons are quiter (not silent) then standatd mice and have a dampened low pitch click. The side buttons are slightly 'clickyer' but noting to put me off. The Bluetooth function worked beru well when i had to use a laptop simultaneous with my pc when we had server problems. With a click of the center button i could switch between my pc amd laptop. Would higly recomented this as it is great value for money and worked seamlessly when installed. Not had a fault over 12 months on!

This is possibly theist versatile mouse I have ever had. I use it across a PC and a Mac laptops and it works flawlessly, the dongle saves you from installation issues on devices you have no admin access to and works instantly. The switch is fast and the top button to activate it very conveniently located. It is silent, but precise clicking and smooth. The scroll wheel is not totally smooth, but the ratcheting is precise enough. One minor gripe is the size, it is a small mouse, I do not have high hands and I could feel it disappear a bit in my had, had I got larger hands it would be uncomfortable. Otherwise very light and convenient for travelling as it uses regular replaceable batteries. I combined it with a K780 keyboard and it is just magic.

Currently, Logitech has an M235 model on Amazon that looks like a quality product at about 1/3rd price of the M590.. and which is a basic wireless mouse, with a nano-USB receiver, which means it pairs only with the USB receiver it comes packaged with, not with other receivers. Which means. if you have a wireless keyboard, you will need two separate USB ports... and if you want to connect another device like an external hard-disk etc, then good luck... cause latest sleek laptops etc don't come with so many USB ports. So, if you need a basic wireless mouse go for M235. But I'd highly recommend going for the M590, instead. It's barely 1200Rs more than the M235 but is far far more advanced and way more worth the extra spend. It's based on Logitech's unifying technology, which means it comes with a unifying USB receiver... such receivers can pair with up to 6 logitech devices at a time, so you can have only one port occupied and still have your wireless mouse, keyboard and other (logitech) devices connected. Also, this mouse is bluetooth technology. These days the new laptops are powerhouses but extremely sleek and lightweight, and have just one USB 2.0/3.0 port and a few USB-Type-C ports... so if you want to connect your external hard-disk etc, you will have to remove even the unifying USB receiver... so in such cases, it's nice to have the mouse connected by bluetooth and free up the USB 2,0/3.0 port for other devices. The unifying connectivity and bluetooth is just 1/3 the advantage... the other 2/3 of the advantage is in it's functionality, usage and customisation. It has 2 side buttons near the thumb programmed for "back" and "forward" by default... and the scroll wheel can be left clicked and right clicked for horizontal scroll, by default... and the scroll wheel can be pressed down for the "middle click" function - all these are nice to have for added productivity and comfort... but the real beast of performance comes in their customisations!!! All these 5 buttons.. the 2 buttons near the thumb, the scroll wheel left, right and middle clicks... can be customised to perform any function you like!!! You gotta download the logitech options software for programming each key for it. There are many many many options that you can select from for the button to do... so u can imagine opening a particular file/software/folder in one click, or assign your most used action... copy, paste etc... this means the 5 buttons can really make you a power performer! This is not all... these 5 buttons can also be programmed differently for different softwares!!!! So, you can imagine... in photoshop the 5 buttons perform functions that you assign specifically for photoshop... same way, they can be customised differently for let's say a 3d software.. different in some gaming software.. etc etc... it's endless and it's amazing. If you are a power user/programmer etc, i think you'd be a slave to this mouse once you try it and see how some tasks that take 5-7 clicks can be done in 1 click... and if it is an often repeated task, then the efficiency make sure you never go back to a regular mouse! I gotta add a note about "Gesture control". In the abovementioned customisation, one of the functions you can select to assign a button is Gesture Control... which means, if you keep the button clicked and move forward, it's one gesture.. same way, keep it clicked and move mouse back, or left, or right. So each button can have a basic click function + 4 gestures.. and each can be assigned a separate function. So, you could actually have 5 possible functions to each button... and so for 5 buttons, total possible programability is 25 functions... and you can do so differently for different softwares!!!!! You would only know how mind blowing this is if you were a power user, and not a simple email+browsing+MS Word user! ; ) Mind you all this is only possible in high quality mouse like Logitech MX Master 2S etc which are Rs.6000+ - i.e. to get such customisation power at this price is just too good to let go! Additional features - - it has Logitech Flow technology ... read up more online about it.. i've already written a lengthy review, so won't elaborate ; )))) - its a normal sized mouse good for normal sized hands. I have large hands and need the big-sized Masters MX 2S since I am a professional and power user and will find the M590 uncomfy for long use... but I love it for home use and travel. - the key clicks are almost soundless. This mouse is basically same as M585 model in all ways.. only diff is that M585 has noisy clicks... so the 100-200Rs extra price is worth the price and silence. Go for it blindly!! The mouse is unreal for the price...!

Long battery life. The small size give you the freedom to take your work anywhere and you can work comfortably for hours.

small compact mouse, does the job, silent and fast connecting

The reason why I bought this mouse is I have roommates who have different sleeping times than me, so when I am awake and playing they are usually asleep. My previous generic "silent" mouse could still be heard from 5 - 6 feet away, but I'm happy to say that the M590 doesn't have that problem at all. It still produces a muffled clicking sound but it's not as awful as the previous mouse I was using, and from a distance you won't really hear the sound it produces. So I'm quite happy with my purchase. Great product!
