Fantastic quality video
Bought these to cover my home, easy to setup and get working. Quality of footage is fantastic and is 2k as standard (2 X HD quality) but can be dropped to HD if needed. The camera mounts can be adjusted very well and the camera can be mounted from the end or the side of the camera allowing you to point them in almost any direction needed. This kit comes with a mini recorder, just remembered you need an SD card. Recording works on camera motion and playback via the APP is easy. Remote access is available via the APP, all in great solution. The batteries take around 3 hours to fully charge, overall great option for security.

Great camera system and battery life.
I think TP-Link stuff is great. I bought these to replace Arlo cameras which refused to play nicely with my Three 5G broadband. Cameras are easy to set up, and the app works really well. Picture quality is excellent, both day and night, night being aided by a floodlight. Don't get many false notifications. It gets confused on a windy sunny day with shadows moving, but apart from that they are spot on. They were easy to fit, and Wi-Fi coverage is fine for me. Also, great value for money. Only downside is the monthly subscription, but most cameras have this.

Easy to do
Already have 24/7 CCTV but wanted a ring doorbell esk solution to trigger an alarm on human detection, my current CCTV does email me but when im asleep thats not going to cut it. Charge battery first takes about 6 hours, screw to wall and screw camera on. Mine were position in such a way they wouldn't detect anything other than people coming through a farm gate, you can trigger an alarm on the device to sound and also trigger the lights on the device. Quality is good and detection is set to Human only and works, dogs can run into garden fine, but when i run in there it gets me. My only negative is they communicate directly with the H200 hub also in the package they wont work with the smaller H100 thats for doorbells and light sensors. But once the Cam is triggered it can be made to trigger the internal HUB also which makes a bellowing sound...so you can get out of bed and grab your rocket launcher The problem is for me anyway my cameras are set to activate 11pm at night till 6 in the morning, so between these times they detect and sound their own external alarms, but there is no way to make the Hub do the same. Even though the cameras are not triggering their respective alarm thru the day they still trigger the internal which can be annoying. @TPLINK make the HUB work with schedules please :) Hub can connect via ethernet or Wifi and needs to be in range of Cams, mines around 25ft from both and works fine.

Could be bettwr
These are nice cameras, easy to set up and pick up my wifi ok in the garden although they have to be quite near the hub. The only issue i have is with the motion setting. It picks up a plant blowing in the wind in the garden as a person detected and this is really annoying as every few seconds it send through a notification, yes you can turn that off but the issue is it depletes the battery every time its picks something up that is just simply blowing. I only re- charged the battery 25 days ago and it already needs re-charging due to this. So i think they need to look at that and improve it. Otherwise not too bad- i’m looking to see if they do a solar panel to fit as if its going to continuously pick ip a small ant blowing in the wind i will spend more time getting the camera down and re-charging it than i will actually using it for purpose! Of course that is going to increase the total cost of it all!

Really unimpressed - wouldn't recommend to anyone.
I want to like these cameras, but this is a good example of you pay for what you get. Maybe I'm being generous with 3 stars.... But when they do work, the picture and sound quality is good, battery half decent. I was spurred into writing a review when the cameras didn't even recognise me walking across my drive. What's the point in them if they don't record people, without fail, 100% of the time?! In general the recognition is poor, and practically useless at night time unless it's a car or you're lit up by some other light in the middle of the camera. If it's an animal, forget about it - they won't be picked up, even if they are front and centre, doing a poo in front of your front door - ask me how I know! The battery life is half decent if you limit the amount it wakes up. Would return if I could, but I'm outside the returns window unfortunately. Edit: changed to 1 star. It even misses a car backing into the drive way. What's the point of this camera if it can't pick up a giant object?!

Really pleased I chose this pair of cameras
Having read and watched a bunch of reviews of this and many other cameras, I settled on the Tapo 2K wireless camera pair + hub. The main reasons being ease of installation, product reliability, image quality and especially that a subscription is not required. I knew that a wireless installation would be more straightforward than having to drill and run wiring, but I was not expecting the fantastic job the company have done to hold your hand during the installation process. There is a brief and clear initial setup guide, which includes a QR code for you to continue the installation via your phone. I really liked this. Each step was clearly presented, one at a time. I was very pleased when you'd be told something along the lines of "when you plug this in, the indicator will blink red for a few seconds and then go green". And what was forecast would be correct each time, so I'd know the installation was proceeding correctly. Before long I'd got the cameras and hub installed, all without a hitch, even though this was my first time installing CCTV. The app is great and works a treat. So many ways you can control and fine tune the system to suit your needs. Until I got used to it though sometimes I would struggle to find the right menu path to reach the setting I wanted to tweak. But it didn't take long to become familiar with the options important to me. I didn't want to use the offered subscription service - why keeping paying for something you've bought? So I installed a 256GB microSD into the hub. This turned out to be much larger capacity than I really needed. It's taking forever to fill it up, even connected to 3 cameras (I ended up buying the same package again to extend my CCTV coverage). And if it does fill up then the system can continue recording by discarding the oldest if you haven't deleted some old stuff yourself first. So 128GB would have been fine. Having bought this package twice, I have 3 cameras connected to 1 hub and the 4th camera connected to the 2nd hub. I've split them this way because their wireless signal will go through 2 or 3 sets of brick wall and our 4th camera's signal couldn't reach the first hub. So I connected the 2nd hub to our WiFi closer to where the 4th camera is mounted. The whole system performs very well. The image quality is fine and the cameras start recording correctly under the criteria that I selected - I turned off pet, vehicle and movement alerts and chose human detection alerts. The system uses AI to distinguish them. I chose movement detection to be off because of very long grass waving in the wind causing false alarms. We have a glass table on the patio. In the summer this would sometimes set off the camera overlooking it. This was because it would emanate heat from the sun which would trigger the camera to look for a human - and then sometimes cloud reflections on it would look like a human! So I set the area scanned by the camera to exclude the table top - it's very handy being able to precisely specify which parts of the view seen by a camera should be monitored and which should not. The camera at the front door gets the most triggering, mostly from deliveries. Accordingly its battery lasts a little over 3 months before needing recharging. The camera that is triggered the least still has 87% charge after 3 months. The cameras are solidly well made and feel reassuringly hefty and robust in the hand. Overall I'm entirely pleased with the product, its ease of installation and use, its performance and its price.

Good not great
First, if you think it’s gonna be better than I fully wired installed camera system you’re wrong. This is more convenient camera system. Having the camera being wireless makes it very easy to install. It connects effortlessly to the hub. So why have I given it three stars? This is down to the software programming. The cameras will not capture/record video 24/7 so that they will save battery life. This is understandable as they’re wireless. You’re able to adjust the settings of how long it will record once detected movement, but this is still very limited. Even if you decrease the movement intervals to 0 seconds, it will take a few seconds before it will start recording again and therefore you miss potentially valuable information shown to you in the recording. It also fails to trigger from far away so you’re not able to get the whole scene from start to finish. For expensive the postman starts in the middle of the video walking to the door. Lastly, battery life certainly is in 180 days. Maybe if you didn’t record during 180 days it might last 180 days but that’s not practical. With the settings turn to max to allow for recording for as long as possible once movement is detected to enable you to replay most of the scene, it’s recording. You’ll get 1 month max which is why I have attachment to a solar panel charger which extends the battery life. Overall, the camera quality is good and the fact that you can place the cameras literally anywhere is it great added bonus.
