They worked great on my 2013 Ford Fusion

how do you remove the front three red nylon clips? these three seemed recessed. do you need to remove the front of the vehicle?

You will have to remove 3 or 4 screws from the front bumper guard (I guess you call it). This will give that panel a little flex to enable you to slide the old parts out and new ones in. Once the holes are lined up, it should just screw in without too much trouble.
