Evenup Shoe Leveler, Medium (Shoe Sizes 9-11), Each

I was surprised. This is very well made. I have to wear a boot for my broken ankle and this really levels out the walking I had to take one of the levels out, so 2 worked fine for me.

This was very helpful. I had surgery to repair a torn Achilles heel and was in a boot. This shoe leveler worked great on my non-surgery shoe.

I broke a bone in my foot and have to wear a boot. This evenup shoe is to wear on my other foot when I go outside. It was easy to figure out how to put it on my shoe & how to make it so my gait is even. If you need and evenup shoe, this is a good on to buy.

Whoever came up with this is practical and ingenious! Pretty simple to use...slip it over an athletic shoe (or a shoe that ties)...take out or add the inserts to get the height you need to match your cast or boot...I can't believe such a simple thing made walking and doing everything else in the eight weeks I had my leg in a cast so much more comfortable and safe! It probably kept me from hurting my hips and back as well by keeping me even. I did try to avoid getting the bottom wet of both this leveler and my cast because I was worried about slipping. You would probably be cautious with regular shoes as well, so, that was not an issue for me. I hope I don't break anything else, so I am probably going to donate it to the community medical devices services as soon as my cast is off. It was a game changer and hopefully can help someone else.

GREAT PRODUCT! I wear a ladies size 8 shoe so I ordered a medium. Size 8 is kind of in between sizes. When I first received the product and pulled it out of the bag I thought it was too large until I tried it with my shoe. I do believe the size S would have been too small. The medium does fit, but not as secure as I would like. But hey, it works! I'm not running while in a boot, in fact, I'm on a knee scooter for now and am short and started having back pain. This product has helped with that pain in one day!! I will be using this product for months until I'm able to put full pressure on my foot in the boot and then start walking again.

Does what it says and helps even out the height discrepancy when wearing a walking boot. This makes walking so much easier and The wearer less prone to other complications from an uneven gait. The fit is ok. For me it shifts around on my shoe—which is a standard running shoe. So I find myself tapping the edges often to re center it. I ordered the correct size according to the chart. The footprint is a bit smaller than the footprint of my shoe, so theoretically it should fit more snug. The big danger is how slippery the sole is on wet surfaces. I’ve had to catch myself from slipping on wet slate like sidewalk outside of a large building and again almost falling while boarding a city bus. Testing this, if there’s any moisture I can slide my foot with the Evenup on wet surfaces very easily where the sole of my walking boot or any regular shoe sticks just fine. Given the already precarious state of people requiring a walking boot, you’d think this product should have an anti-slip sole.

I’m using the medium EvenUp on a size 9-1/2 women’s running shoe. The medium is just about perfect size-wise. It would work equally well for a Women’s size 10 running shoe. I find that the EvenUp works best for a dedicated athletic shoe for standing, working on my feet, walking, gardening, etc. if I go out on the town I wear a sandle with no EvenUp instead, and make do with “legs of different length” (walking boot on one leg, sandle in the other). You wouldn’t want to wear this with a sandle. This platform works great for me, a very active person. It’s stable and completely eliminated the hip pain I was experiencing while wearing a walking boot. I can walk long distances (2+ miles) with no problem—I forget that it’s on my shoe. Definitely worth the $30.

These things will indeed level out your foot up and down for walking if your ankle was completely destroyed and rebuilt and now your leg is two inches shorter. However, the rubber is such an awful choice to hold the pad to the shoe that almost immediately I noticed that they would start slipping to the left or to the right, causing some major balance issues. That rubber also started to break apart and tear because for some unknown reason, they decided to have a piece of hard, stiff Velcro go inside a little RUBBER slot to hold it steady. That part was ripped to shreads within a month. Another, and probably the most stunningly ignorant decision on the design of this product, which I'm pretty sure was a directive from some executive to cut cost, is the fact that there is nothing on the front to protect the EvenUp from getting caught on anything. A simple little rubber shield on the front, adding maybe a quarter to production cost, would prevent some very, VERY awful accidents that have occurred while people have been using these things. I know this happens, and probably at a very alarming rate, because it happened to me more than once. The worst one being when walking up some stairs and at the top one, this thing caught the lip of the stair, causing me to jolt forward and reflexively try to brace myself. Unfortunately, that was the ankle I had just had major reconstructive surgery on which included a giant metal rod inserted in my tibia about halfway up, and about a third into my foot. Needless to say, the wanting-to-die excruciating pain that coursed from my ankle, into my leg, AND groin, and then through my entire body was only the beginning as I completely lost muscle control from the pain and I went ragdoll, falling forward, losing my grip on my crutches, and proceeded to go headfirst into a metal door with one of the crutches under me and somehow one of them twisted in my arm and to the side. All of this is beyond horrible you say, but no, it gets worse. The person that was with me and helping me had already gone inside, they really had to use the bathroom, and the bathroom was on THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BUILDING so they did not hear me fall. And if you are curious, it was not #1, but #2. So, as I lay there, hurting so bad that I was terrified to move, dizzy, confused, and trying not to cry because that made the throbbing in my head worse, my sense of time so off it felt like I was there for an hour (turned out it was only about ten minutes), the only saving grace I had there, and the only thing which I think kept me from having a Major, Full-Blown, Messy Panic Attack was that, having sensed something was Really Wrong with me, the outside cats started coming up. Most of them just laid around me and keeping watch, or licked my hand. One of them, a momma cat named Lady Grey, came up to my face, sniffed, and then started licking me and then laid down right there and started her deep purrs while looking me right in the eyes like she was trying to tell me everything was going to be okay. I'm pretty sure at this point I was experiencing a "wonderful" episode of derealization, however, I was able to focus on her, her purring, the look in her eyes and eventually my friend came looking for me and was able to go out the back door and get to me. Luckily, after all this, nothing really serious had happened. Giant bump on head, arms were a bit messed up, but only some bruises, shoulder/ribs had bruises from the crutch, a lot more pain in the leg but nothing that messed up the surgery, did receive a bump in pain meds from it, and my knee, the one that had surgery from a septic infection the year prior took a good hit, I actually am experiencing lingering effects from that one. After this incident, I took some smooth duct tape and created my own toe on the end of the thing. I still needed something to compensate for the two inches shorter my leg was and reluctantly and still with major trepidation continued to use it for the time being. I did find something else ASAP. What I'm trying to say is, this product, as designed and engineered at the moment, has the potential to seriously injure and God forbid, possibly kill someone using it. For everyone looking at this product, I'd search out other alternatives that have toes and if you can't find one, buy one of those alternatives and add a toe to it in any way possible. This product/thing deserves so many negative stars it should be called NGC 6397.

A worthwhile item to have to support comfortable walking with a moon boot (with crutches). The adjustability by removing or adding inserts is a bonus and easy to use. Being able to walk with legs at same height is a bonus for pain control. highly recommended

I purchased this item some time ago, then, when I ordered again from Amazon they were included. I returned them with no problem at all. This is a great product and seller services were good too.

Terrific little device! It allows me walk better. I have a 3.5 inch difference in my right leg due to 6 operations on my femur after an accident. The shoes with the lift were too high and hurt my back. Using this little gizmo allows me to have an inexpensive lift which is not as drastic as the lift in the special shoe so I can walk better and not hurt my back

I had ruptured my Achilles and have to wear an air boot for at least 12 weeks. Once I had fitted my shoe level up device, I was able to walk without any issues, drive, no more headaches or back pain. This is a must otherwise you will suffer from other pain if you are out of sync with your gait. A great device.

I needed to pair this with a forefoot offloading shoe, and it helps. Still could be slightly thicker for my particular use, but that's not the most common use I think, so still five stars.
