Albolene Cleansing Balm 6 oz.

Edit: I bought this in February, it is now the middle of November and I am just finishing it, and repurchasing. You get used to the residue and learn to take it off better. Overall a fantastic makeup remove that is non-comedogenic (didn’t clog pores), is great for acne prone, sensitive skin and lasts forever. 10/10 would recommend. Fantastic makeup remover. Very effective in taking off dirt, oil, and makeup. I’ve have it for almost 6 months, using it everyday and used maybe 1/4 the container. It does leave a slick residue, that is easily removed with a cotton round, and a cleanser shortly after. Non-drying, no scent, great for sensitive skin. I wouldn’t say it’s moisturizing? Because you have to remove all of it because if the residue. Overall great product. Would recommend.

At first I detested this item because it felt like putting on Vaseline on my face. The balm quickly started to melt and that was great! You cannot remove this product by just rinsing it with water. It won’t budge! I then read someone’s review about taking it off with a wet cloth. I gave it a whirl and it took about 99% of my makeup. It also left my skin feeling smooth and soft. It is MUCH more cost effective than any cleansing balm I have I ever tried!! I have tried many. This product is really nice once you figure out how to use it!

This balm is pretty good. I love that it stays solid and the moment you touch it, it melts in your hands. It’s overall easy use and gets all the makeup off without making a mess. It leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized afterward. I wish it felt a little bit more cleansing. If I’m wearing full coverage foundation I feel like I still need to wash my face after. I also don’t love that mineral oil & petroleum are the first ingredients. Aside from that, it works great. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

I double cleanse religiously, but have found that I go through cleansing balms at a faster clip than I'd like. So, when I saw the $ and quantity of this one, with relatively positive reviews, I figured I'd give it a try. I'm sorry to say that this just did not work out for me. I prefer an oil cleanser to have an emulsifying quality, and this DOES NOT. It leaves a heavy residue that made me break out. Then I tried following with a soap wash to get rid of the residue, which of course is stripping, and negates what you are trying to do in the first place. And the smell - it's billed as being fragrance-free, but just has a gross petrochemical by-product smell. At $10 it's not one of my worst regrets, but you couldn't pay me enough to use this again. I will say that it does get rid of makeup but the rest of the experience is a bummer. Kind of a waste, that's all.
