Women's Fairview 40 Backpack

This is the perfect size backpack for travelers like me who pack light. Enough space for all the essentials. I appreciate the comfortable straps that can zip away, outside handles, and the sturdy cinch straps.

I am 5’1 with a short torso for size reference. I love it. Truly. Only concern is the variable size. Depending on the size of the plane and how much you packed you may be asked to take things out of it so that it could squish into the overhead compartment (this only happened in a plane for a 30 minute flight, international travel it fit with extra room.) I also feel for those who encounter airport staff that are having a bad day because this bag when packed full can look “oversized”. That being said, it is very easy to simply take stuff out and it compresses into a significantly smaller bag. If prepared with an emergency tote in case you have to empty it a bit you should never have to check this bag. This is my first backpack with hip straps so I cannot comment on the comfortability since I have nothing to compare it to. However, I packed it pretty darn full, and as long as I adjusted the hip straps to sit properly I could wear it for hours.

Pro: + Das Tragesystem ist phänomenal. Wirklich sehr angenehm für mich. + Großes Hauptfach. + Kompressions Möglichkeit. + Reißverschluss kann unter der Klappe vorn verschwinden und ist so vor Gelegenheitsdieben geschützt. Und ist natürlich auch abschließbar mit Vorhängeschloss. + mehrere Schlaufen, um weitere Dinge außen anzubringen Cons: - Kein Flaschenhalter (das Fach vorne an ist eher für nasse Klamotten o.ä.). - Das „quick access“ Fach oben ist bei vollem Rucksack unbrauchbar. Und selbst bei halb leerem Rucksack nicht leicht zu öffnen oder zum Hand reinstecken. Ich benutze es ergo gar nicht und habe alles wichtige in einer extra Handtasche/Schultertasche. (Der zusätzlich erhältliche kleinere osprey Rucksack bietet sich auch an, da er über Clips mit diesem verbunden werden kann!) - Laptopfach: bei vollem Rucksack bekommt es definitiv stellenweise starken Druck (passt sich der Rückenform an). Einen dünneren Laptop würde ich da lieber nicht reingeben - und ein dickerer passt nicht gut. Noch ein Fach das ich nicht nutze. - Mir fehlt einfach ein Admin-Fach, in dem kleinere Dinge gut organisiert verstaut werden können. Aber wenn man diese ohnehin immer extra trägt (so wie ich jetzt), dann stört das wohl weniger.

I absolutely love this backpack! I'm 5'4" (or 1.62cm) and although I sorta look a little bit like a turtle when I wear it, I couldn't care less because of how practical and comfortable it is. Amazing back support, tonnes of storage space (I'm always surprised at how much I can fit into it!), well located zips and pockets. It's my go to bag for camping, hiking and travelling!
