All height measurements are from floor to lowest U shaped contact point in tongue head (true resting point)
Minimum lift height tongue base resting on floor: 14-3/16 inches
Minimum height to first notch (non locking): 15-7/16 inches
Minimum height to first locking notch: 16-1/8 inches
Maximum lift height (locking) 22-7/8 inches.
Note the lift is a little higher if you add the top of the saddle points, that is if the object is not resting in the U shaped saddle but at the top of the crown-ridges

The desc of 6-ton says "1 pack" but I assume these are actually sold in pairs, right? Amazon needs to do better with product descriptions.

Correct.  These are sold in pairs.  The pair is rated at 6 tons, together.  Each jack stand is rated at 3 tons.

Are these stands 6 tons per stand or 6 tons total per pair???

3 tons each, total of 6 tons.  Great stands.  Put my corvette, z71 truck and Jaguar on them.  Set of 4, perfect!  Well built and solid!
