With Permasand no longer being manufacturered, this is the only option available that fits the requirements for rock masonry. I use rocks of all sizes 400 lb to 10 lb to create patios and other structures. This material allows up to 4" gaps,to be filled. So far, as far as implementation, it works great and is a little easier and more forgiving than permasand. It dries strong. Now permasand is unique and has so far held up for 10 years+. It is also stronger in terms of bonding or seems that way.. but it is gone. I will update this review after a year and give an assessment in how G2 Intel holds up. I can kind of tell the outlook looks promising. Permasand (Sakrete) was a unique product but my guess overkill for classic pavers and got complaints. The G2 intel does look nicer in terms of blending in and is less grainy and hard. I will miss permasand - but time to move on. I did my research - and with 3 more bags on order I am committed. Note the polymeric sand at HD & Lowes currently is crap. I am glad G2 Intel is available and Amazon delivers to conveniently to your door.

I used home store purchased polymeric sand at first and it ended up being a disaster. It left a poly haze all over the pavers, it did not harden as it was supposed to and just was not a good experience. . After doing some research, and completely striping the store bought sand out, I came across Gator Maxx and decided to give it a try. What a great decision. This sand works exactly as stated and was easy to lay down. It left no haze anywhere and filled paver cracks much better than the store stuff. My only regret is not using this the first time. You will not be disappointed with Gator Maxx. Highly recommend.

Easy application. Seems to harden better than other products I have used in the past. Waiting to see how it holds up this winter and how it does when cleaning with pressure washer.

Better than regular sand, but will still require yearly maintenance. Smaller joints especially deteriorate rather quick, but not to to the point of total failure (I think they even state this on the bag). This sand combined with sealing my pavers has eliminated the growth that typically occurs and spreads out of control through the summer. I plan to do touch-ups as needed, but it's holding up well so far. I didn't like either color by themselves, so I mixed beige and grey together - turned out nice!

This product is amazing...after the prep, the product goes down nice and smooth. I am far from a pro...actually this is the first time I have used a product like this. It dries quickly, is easy to handle and looks like it will hold up very well in the different seasons. Definitely a great value and much cheaper than hiring a pro.

This product was fine to start, for about 2 weeks. It set up well and I was telling others that it was worth the extra spend. Fast forward 2 weeks and 2 rainstorms later and it has almost completely washed out. For nearly triple the price of basic polymeric sand from a big box store, you'd expect an equal ratio of increased performance. I'd even settle for ANY better. Save your money and accept that polymeric sand is an arduous perennial annoyance, and buy the stuff at a big box.

I just got done spreading this product across ~1,000 sq fr of pavers and it gave absolutely 0 issues. The grain size is small enough to fit into 1/4 gaps and they were not clumped up in the bag. The sand hardens quickly once watered and resists excessive moment while watering. The finished product did not leave a grainy texture on the pavers and no hazing. After a few hours, the sand is rock hard.

Some areas has cracked. I will have to redo those areas. Not sure why it cracked.
