I never write a raving review on day one after delivery, especially on a product with a 90 day return window. However, this is an exceptional situation, and I couldn't be more pleased. THE UNIT: I'm replacing a 2012 Mac mini with a refurb 2018 Mac mini. It is the oldest one with thunderbolt 3 type c, and internal SSD, two critical needs. It is the i7, and at general use is comparable to my M1 Pro MacBook Pro. I love it being on the most current OS, even just for now. It is exactly what I needed. Appears it should serve me well for a long time to come. As expected during install and setup it did run a little warm, but is well in the normal range during general use. The fan barely runs and I don't notice it. THE SELLER: The item came two days before the quoted date. The machine I ordered was advertised as i7, 16 GB ram, 500 GB SSD. It came with 32 GB of ram, and everything else as stated. Not sure if it was an accident or intensional bonus, but they created a fan boy in me. The item was clean, works perfectly and I agree it falls in the 'excellent' category as advertised. The old unit is being used as an in home file server, and the new one will be our main entertainment center computer. I debated a long time between this one and the m1 version, but went with the older unit at higher specs, so the bonus ram was icing on the cake. Also really loved the space grey color. The m1 would have been great and remained relevant for longer, but I always embrace the underdog. so I love it. You can buy with confidence.

Great price for an updated mac mini it is running the latest version of MacOS. It is also my main system at work to do RDP,SSH and telnet to my DataCenter systems. Plus my normal work stuff like emails and document writeing. Will order from this seller again.

The dings were on the top leading edge of the Mac mini, not an issue for me but the damage was greater than I was led to believe. This is a supplier issue. More of an Intel issue (I believe) is that there is a known problem with video issues and HDMI on the 2018 Mac mini models. Basically, the video signal (or display) corrupts when coming out of sleep mode requiring the display be power cycled to resolve. I initially thought the unit I received had a problem. Nope, just a model bug. So, minus one star total: quality issues from supplier and stupid HDMI issue.

This was a great purchase all in all. Happy with the performance of my product despite being refurbed.

Though it did run extremely hot during migration, I tested it with some Apple Arcade games and it stayed cool for 46 minutes. It appears that migration and having it on for a few hours was the issue. I normally use the computer for 2 or 3 hours at a time so I think this may be ok.

I had a problem with the computer - nothing showed up on monitor after second start up. I was told to return it which I did. Refund was prompt and complete.
