The sticky pads are very strong and works as advertised. We popped ours on the top of the door so it doesn’t get in the way. The item is also adjustable so the gap in the door can be wide enough to let the cat in but keep the dog out.

Fitting these took about 10 minutes using the supplied screws. I chose not to use the adhesive pads, also supplied. Most of that was making sure they were correctly placed on our awkward door frames. Check the positioning of both parts with the door closed before final fixing. Once fitted, they do the job nicely and provide a gap big enough for our cat but too small for our puppy. The gap is easily adjustable within the limits of the length of the arm.

I have a puppy who has to be kept in the living room with us so we can house break her successfully. We also have two adult cats that she loves to play with/harrass. The cats' food has had to be moved to the kitchen to stop the puppy eating it. That's meant keeping the door closed to stop the puppy getting into the kitchen but means that the cats are not having easy access to their food.I was going to order two stair gates to keep the puppy out of the kitchen and also the hall/bathroom. Then I found these door restrictors and I'm so happy! I can finally lock the doors open with enough gap to allow the cats to squeeze through but not the puppy. This means they can get their food whenever they want and roam the house but the puppy can't leave the room.It's made house breaking easier as she can't go and do a secret wee elsewhere.Adjusting is easy but I wish there were a few more levels of adjustment to fine rune it. This is a much cheaper and elegant solution to my problem - using child gates constantly is a ball ache.

I bought this because I didn’t want to put a cat flap in my porch door for our indoor cat but being a bit dopey, our cat, sometimes shuts the door and locks herself in the porch. This device stops her from shutting the door and locking herself out whilst also allowing her a gap high enough for her to come and go from the porch area as she wishes. I’ve just used the adhesive sticky pad but it does also come with small screws should you wish to screw it on securely. I’m hoping the adhesive is strong enough. It does appear to be.

After my 2yr old climbing over her stairgate on her bedroom door and the one in the stairs and going downstairs at night I was soooo concerned she would end up getting into something or doing something that would hurt her. So I ordered this. It works perfectly on her door and with had no issues since. Her 11 yr old sister shares with her and can easily open it from within the bedroom to get out so she’s not locked in. I just placed it high enough so my youngest can’t figure it out. The sticky pads are really sticky so didn’t use the screws provided. Make sure you put the hook bit on the door and the round bit on the architrave of the door frame not the other way round as I found the instructions were confusing. A video for installation on here would be useful.

This item is an absolute godsend. It's exactly what I needed and I'm SO pleased it was available at such a reasonable price. It was incredibly easy to install and it works perfectly. Cats can get in and out but baby can't open the door onto the stairs. I've sent the link to my cousin who has also ordered one.

I like our doors open in nice weather. Our bedroom door and the door to the garden are next to each other and my elderly blind dog would finish up in the bedroom when he really wanted to go outside. This stops him getting ‘lost’ in the bedroom and he now knows to go a little bit further and he will get outside.

My dog kept pushing a door open to get to the cat food. Even put a 15lbs weight behind it! This works great! Strong, easy to install and use/open

Looks much nicer than a metal hook and eye and serves same purpose. We use it for our storage room to allow cat access for litter box and to keep the dog away.

Wollte einen Türspalt fixieren wo meine Katzen nicht durchkommen können.Hab noch ein Loch reingebohrt und den Anschlag vom Bügel entfernt und jetzt ist der Spalt gerade so klein genug.Kleber hält bombenfest. Schließsystem finde ich sehr gut.
