Well worth the price
I just got the chance to use my new transfer pump, and it worked great. The filler hose is long enough that my 5 Gal gas can could sit on the floor and pump the fuel into my large generators gas tank. It's also very quite, and has a good fill rate, so it only took a few minutes to empty the gas can. This pump is rated for use with gasoline unlike some of the other pumps offered for sale at about the price. Very glad I chose this one. One thing I forgot was that the pump comes with two AA cartridges that hold 6 AA batteries, after actually looking at the directions I realized that taking out the 6 double A's, just use two D cells instead.

Quality
Good product. I use it for miscellaneous projects around the house that should ever come up. It's great to have for a go to tool. I used it for syponing the water out of my water fountain outside. I also used it for taking the water out of a clogged sink I had and it worked excellent. I love the fact that it has a mesh at the entrance to prevent any small pebbles from or materials from going in and blocking the blades from going up. I have had a few before from different manufacturers but this item was my best purchase. The suction is excellent I don't know what the problem is with other people saying about the hose and it being fragile? (it's a light weight pump and NOT a sump pump) It's for household and maybe getting gas out of a gas tank but really it's more for miscellaneous uses around the house and if you act and treat it carelessly then you're abusing it. Great item I bought three more for my sons.

saves my shoulders and back from having to hold larger gas cans
this thing worked like a champ when I siphoned 5 gallons of gas from the gas can into my truck. took just a couple of minutes. best is that I didnt have to hold it upside down while depressing the spout's valve...very awkward position like with my current gas can...just insert the siphon into the gas can, secure the output side to the gas tank tube, press the power button. I bought this mainly to use out on the water to fill up my boat's tank so that there wouldnt be any spills into the water. this thing will do just that. ***EDIT after 2nd use*** I tried to siphon gas again from my gas can to my car and this time it wouldnt even turn on. I swapped out batteries and still no go. Put old batteries into my flashlight and they light up bright so it is not the battery. And the return window just closed a few days ago. Glad this happened before I went out deep sea and run out of gas and not be able to siphon gas out of the gas can into the boat's gas tank. NOT happy with this purchase whatsoever.

OK - but tubing wears out.
It works like it should, it just doesn't last that long. I got only two years out of the first one before the tubing cracked with light use in a climate controlled. garage. Beats a manual pump for sure, but I'm going to try a different brand when this second one fails.

Great product, Christmas stocking stuffers for sure!
Growing up we had real gas cans with the straight hose, no leaks no stupid valves to squeeze, just a hose. Now with all these new cans they are heavy, Leak everywhere, the seals go bad and the valves break. This little tool is fantastic to say the least. I used it on my boat fuel tank for when I need to add fuel. Literally zero effort. Drains a 5 gallon can in about 4 minutes id say. Slower than pouring but not having to put in the work, it's a 5 out of 5 for me!

Product is good and works as expected IF you have common sense.
This pump works very well for my purposes. I needed it to transfer premixed boat fuel into the boat tank so I don't have to lift the 5 gallon containers anymore. It does the job quite well. I have used it about 10 times and the batteries are still strong and it pumps a good volume consistently. I recommend it for such purposes. Of course, for the low cost, it isn't absolutely fool proof with spark arrestor, drain back check valves, super sturdy hose, auto shutoff, etc. But to get a pump certified for petro fuels the price isn't worth it if you just need an occasional few gallons pumped into lawn mower or boat. I'm happy with this given the way I use it and the precautions I apply when I do.

May be unsafe to transfer gasoline or diesel
The Good. 1) Compact and light 2) Uses easily sourced, long lasting size D batteries or AA batteries (alkaline or rechargeable) with included adapter 3) Inexpensive The Bad. 1) Flimsy tubing requires keen attention and careful manipulation to ensure tube opening stays in place during liquid transfer 2) There is no anti-reflux valve which means residual liquid will remain in the tubing after the source tank empties. To avoid the fluid in the tubing from draining back into the source tank, you have to move the tubing above the destination tank while simultaneously shutting off the motor to ensure the fluid flows into the source tank. Tricky and annoying but after a few attempts, you’ll figure it out. The ugly 1) No spark arrester. 2) Tubing lacks static charge proofing 3) No auto shut off for pump motor when source tank empties. I shudder to think what horror would result if the motor overheats, shorts, or static charge releases in the tubing while transferring flammable fluids such as gasoline. Bottom line If you are looking for an electric pump to transfer gasoline or diesel against gravity (ie, source tank is below destination tank), there are other options from established companies designed specifically for this purpose. The other fuel pump options are more expensive, partly because they incorporate necessary safety features. I think this pump is best for light duty transferring of non-flammable fluids such as draining an aquarium. I seriously question whether this pump is safe to transfer flammable fluids such as gasoline or diesel as advertised.

Great Value For Money
Really impressed by this little unit, used it to decant 60L worth of sodium hypochlorite into a larger drum from 4x15L drums. Was able to pump 15L in 3 minutes or so at elevation, which is way faster than using an Ezi-pour lid. Clip insured no mess was made, and also adds a layer of safety being able to stand back. Cheap and effective tool that’s handy for a lot of uses, great for my field of work.

Electrical circuit very bad. Doesnt work
The conduction at the back of the battery casing is very bad. I had to do complete the electrical circuit myself for it to work. Quality is very bad, would not recommend.
