Great product
I am a big believer in Yolink products. I have several of 5 different devices, and they have never disappointed. They are connected to Home Assistant via the Yolink hub. Connecting the hub to Home Assistant is quick and easy using the built-in integration. Connecting the devices to the hub is even easier and quicker. The Android app is clean and very easy to use. This thermometer/humidity sensor is attractive with a large, easy to read display. Accuracy seems good and is almost identical across my other thermometers. Another great feature of Yolink products is their long range. I live in a cement block house with steel studs, and my outside YoLink whole house water mains shut-off valve has never lost connection. Add to this list of positives an incredible battery life, and you can see why I always check for a YoLink solution before any others.

Highly reliable products
My most reliable smart home automation products are from YoLink. Temperature, leak, vibration and door sensors, they all just connect easily and keep working. Battery life and range are excellent also. I use position sensors on my gates 500 ft from the house and they always let me know when opened.

Great Range / Battery Life / Most Use Cases
Works exactly as advertised - super long range, super long battery life. To achieve this, it also (as explained clearly) reduces the check in frequency over LORA. It updates fast on the LCD, just not fast on any systems it’s integrated with. For nearly every application this has been great, with the exception of a “Feels Like” (like “Heat Index” almost) Home Assistant template helper I use in the bathroom - it lags too far behind in this use case. Again, works as advertised, but not all use cases fit the product. Great product, looks wonderful, and nothing has longer range than a YoLink!

Works well and I have 5 units
Works great, I have not yet had to replace the battery as of 7/29/2025 Since I have 5 units, I did put them side by side and the readings were not all the same, but not off enough from each others to be a deal breaker

Overpriced, but nice quality temp/humidity sensor with great range; on-board screen a plus
I use these X3 temperature / humdity sensors in my refrigerators. They track the temperature at a higher frequency (as frequently as once per 10 mins, or 6 times per hour) than the regular YoLink temp/humidity sensors (the regular sensors only track one data point per hour). These X3 sensors still only call home to the hub once per hour, even though they are tracking the intermediate data points every ten minutes. They do a great job contacting the hub reliably from inside the refrigerator cabinets. I also really like that they include LCD screens too, allowing a quick visual check when I open the fridge for normal purposes, without needing to necessarily open the app to also check the temperature and humidity levels. The LCD built into these is far superior to some others I've had in the fridge on non-smart temperature probes; it remains high contrast and easily readable, where those others would tend to fade and be sluggish to refresh. All in all, I really like these sensors. However, I think a more reasonable price would be in the $30-$35 range. $50 msrp / $40 sale price is a little steep for these IMHO.

Best temperature sensor I have tried so far
Yolink products are rock solid. I started off with this single termperature/humidity sensor and quickly expanded to at least 20 other various kinds of sensors over the next few weeks. The sensors are easy to add to your network. You simply open the app, scan the QR code on the sensor, name it, assign a room and you’re done. Sensors are all hyper-responsive and battery life is incredible. The range is likewise great. My farthest sensor is in a chicken coup behind a huge barn several hundred feet away from the Yolink hub. Reception is still great. The automation options built-in are good. There’s room for improvement. For instance, I have a temperature sensor in my office that turns on an AC plug to my air conditioner. The only triggers I can use from my thermometer sensor are high and low temp alert. I define high temp as 75 and so AC kicks on at that threshold. That works well. But I want the air conditioning to turn off at another threshold, say 70 degrees. I would have to define my low temp alert as 70 in order to make that happen. That doesn’t really work for me for several reasons. I’d like to have a heater that kicks on at 55 degrees, for instance. I could do this with two sensors but that seems wasteful. So I’m looking to integrate with ITTT (If This Then That) service to do more finely grained automation. I think it’ll work. Even though the built-in automation isn’t quite there yet, the hardware is so rock solid and awesome that Yolink gets my highest recommendations.

Forget the 10 min wait. If you want realtime temp data this is the sensor is for you.
This unit has a button on the Yolkink app that allows you to pull the real-time temp data. This is gold for people who are tracking the temperatures of a room where a pet or person stays. Temperatures in the extreme climate area change quickly. Your pet can freeze in a matter of minutes. So turning up the heat or adjusting the temp is important. Getting that temp data quickly is the key.

It works inside a refrigerator
In the past, a small refrigerator that I use for a wine cooler stopped working. I did not discover the failure for several days until I happened to open the small refrigerator and discovered it was very warm inside. If you have expensive wine stored in a wine cooler that stops working, it can be a costly failure beyond just the repair to the cooler - it can ruin expensive wine. I purchased a YoLink X3 Temperature & Humidity Sensor and placed it inside the wine cooler. The LoRa technology used by YoLink provides a reliable signal from the temperature sensor, even though the sensor is enclosed in a metal refrigerator, so my home automation system can now alert me if the wine cooler ever fails again, and I can remedy the problem before the wine is damaged by storage at high temperatures.

These sensors are perfect for monitoring the temperature of a fridge freezer located in an outside garage. The YoLink hub is located inside the house some 10 metres away. Setup is quick and easy with one important caveat. Make sure your hub and sensor are set to the same region. I inadvertently bought a second sensor from Amazon UK which is of course set to EU region. My hub and other sensor were bought as a kit on the Amazon US site. You can guess the rest! The support from Yo-Link was excellent but ultimately the attempt to update software for the sensor failed. I gave up, did a return and bought another sensor from the US site.

A little expensive but useful if you wish to monitor the temperature of a room during a heat wave.

This is my fifth yolink device. It's really disappointing. It's the most expensive device I've purchased. I bought it for the ability to check temperatures realtime. When I use it that way, it always says that I can't detect the device. Definitely not worth the extra $. It still does the scheduled temperature check...but not as promised.

Bought this (Model YS8006) as it was advertised to be more accurate than their previous one (Model YS8003) and had less error (RH 2% vs 3%). However, when it arrived, the calibration was way off compared to my NIST certified hygrometer. Putting it through the pure salt + distilled water and damp cloth calibration, this X3 model performed worse than the non-X3 model. And the X3 cannot be calibrated as it exhibited non-linearity (lower than normal at high RH and higher than normal at low RH so no offset value can correct for this). Tech support did not understand the technical issue and offered a canned response which showed they did not read my question. Don't waste your cash on this more expensive version.

Not X3. Only one. It was expensive so I thought I'd be getting X3 of them. You can get 2 and a hub for this price. Pretty slippery dealing. Not worth it.
