Works immediately
I moved into an apt after living in a house for 10 years. My dogs rarely had to control their barking in a house but obviously not the case in an apartment building. Not even a week into living here, I received a complaint from my new neighbors which had been passed onto me by the building manager about my barking dog ๐ฌ. I had ALWAYS been one to spout off about how cruel shock collars are and how I would never have one, however, I could not afford to get kicked out of my apartment with my two little kids so I started looking for a humane, fast and reasonable solution. I found these collars which offer a warning tone, vibration and if needed a quick little shock. I bought 2, one for my German Shepherd Dog and a second for my Chihuahua Mix (about 12 pounds). I set my Chihuahua's collar on warning tone and vibrate only, no shock. I set my Shepherd's on all 3, warning tone, then vibrate and then shock if needed. I put the collars on them for the first time on a Saturday and left for about 6 hours...when I came back, NEITHER of my dogs made a peep, ๐ฏ seriously, not even a whimper. They were both in good spirits and excited to see me (as usual, lol). I took the collars off immediately and found no red marks or marks of any kind on either of them. The collars had worked and there was no physical harm done. We went for a walk and they remained quiet even without the collars on. I have only seen my Shepherd get shocked 2 times because she didn't heed the warning tone & vibrate, but, in her defense (I should have taken the collars off before our walk, I was in a hurry and forgot) and we were outside on a walk with my two children, her sheep, (you know because GSD's are a herding breed ๐) and there was another dog who was riled up and getting close to her sheep and she did not like that. So she barked, and barked and got shocked, she was apparently surprised by this shock because she jumped, maybe she was thinking it was the other dogs fault? that she got shocked and barked again 2 times and got shocked again. After her two shocks, she realized why she got shocked, regained her composure and behaved like a good calm girl. My Chihuahua mix has not needed the shock setting yet, the warning tone and vibrate have been enough to control his barking. I put the collars on them when I leave the apartment and take them off when I'm home. They see me take them off, they know they're off, and they still control their barking now on a regular basis. The battery lasts for seemingly ever and it charges quickly when you do need to charge it. I would definitely recommend this bark collar.

Great battery life and works fine. Very easy to use.
We've used it for about 11 days now and the battery level has only gone down one bar. Very little barking with the collar set to vibrate and sound, which was our goal. We have a 1 year old Norwegian Elkhound who spends a lot of time outdoors in cool weather but really likes to bark. A lot. Mostly at the neighbor's dog. We'd been using a Pet Safe collar (shock only) and that worked fine. She would not bark at all with the collar on, and didn't seem to care about the collar one way or the other. Didn't mind at all when the collar was put on; didn't get excited when it was removed. We'd hoped that she would be able to be left outside without the bark collar but every time we tried she would soon be running up and down the fence barking at the other dog. If we were going to have to keep a bark collar on whenever she was going to be out for awhile, I wanted one that would allow some barking, without her being afraid of getting shocked. The Dinjoo collar has met that goal so far. We have it set to vibrate and sound only. Since we aren't using the shock feature, we removed the prongs so it doesn't gouge her neck and is more comfortable. We are very happy with the collar. She barks now and then when she sees a stranger and a little at other dogs, which is what we were looking for. I take the collar off and on as she goes in and out of the house, but leave it turned on until she is in for the night. It vibrates and beeps when you turn it off and on and I think this probably uses more battery than just leaving it on for a few hours. She reacts to this collar being taken off or on just like the other, i.e. doesn't care either way but I'm glad she's now able to bark a little if she needs to.

It Works!
Atlas was zapped one time. Now when I put the collar on him, he is an automatic good boy! The only bad thing is, when my other dog barks, Atlas's collar goes off. Also, they only last about a year. I always have one extra on hand.

Okโฆ.but
I purchased this collar for my second corgi. Sheโs ~7mo old and is mouthy, especially when turned out in the backyard. She feels the need to bark, very persistently, at every leaf that blows by, and it was wearing on me (and probably the neighbors.) So I got this, and it works ok, but I have some notes of things I wish I had known before I purchased it: - so when they say it has a โbeep, vibrate, and shock mode.โ In my mind, if you had all 3 turned on, it would beep on the first bark, then if she barked again, it would beep and vibrate, and then if she barked a 3rd time, it would beep, vibrate, and shock, and repeat that on any further barks in a minute. However, if you have all beep, vibrate, and shock turned on, it will beep, vibrate, and shock all on the first bark. And all will get stronger with each consecutive bark. Which honestly, is a bit more aggressive than I was looking for, so usually we keep it set on beep and vibrate unless sheโs choosing to be very defiant. - Additionally, when you turn it off or on, it beeps and vibrates just like it does if she barks, so I always take it off of her to turn it off or on. And I usually try to do it in a different room because she does react to that noise, which is incorrect from a training standpoint because she has done nothing wrong. I wish it just lit up when it turned off or on, or did a different beep. - It also does the same beep anytime you change the sensitivity or switch between modes (beep, vibrate, shock, or combos,) which is frustrating. If you do get this collar, something to note about the sensitivity: - Its instructions says that if the dog is less than 30lbs, the sensitivity should be started at a 6. Corgis come with a โbiggerโ dog bark than some other smaller dogs. I found that a 6 is way too sensitive. At that setting, it will beep her when sheโs running around with my other corg, and the other corg barks. I have it backed all the way off to a 3 for her, and that seems to be much better for us. On a positive side of things: - this has reduced the incessant barking significantly - The battery has held up pretty well, she has worn it for ~7 hours a day for a week and the battery only went down by one bar - I havenโt trimmed the collar down because she is so young and I know sheโs going to continue to grow, so I donโt want it to be too small in the future. But it is pretty easy to tuck it all in without needing to cut it - We have kept the silicon covers on the prongs to keep it from shocking her too much All in all, for the price, this collar is ok. If I had known some of the challenges above, I probably would have gone with a different option that is more correct in its training/correction process. To get any higher of a rating from me, it needs to be more correct in its training process.

Works where other solutions did not.
Our Cavalier Spaniel would often bark when we turned on the TV, and bark uncontrollably if he saw dogs, horses, cows etc. on the screen. He was trained using Doggy Dan, but the TV was still an issue. We first tried one of the TV-remote-style ultrasonic devices, which he noticed, but did not stop him from barking. So we got this unit. I tested the collar's full sequence of beep, vibrate, then shock - on my arm twice to see what's involved. The motion sensor seems to ensure that if the dog is still and a sound triggers the sequence, nothing happens. But if he's moving and barking, it activates. I set the shock intensity to low for our 15 lb barker. The shock starts as unpleasant, and if barking continues, slowly gets stronger until the safety cutoff is tripped at 60 seconds. At that point it is very unpleasant, even to an adult human who understands what's happening. We put the collar on, and waited for a dog food ad. He barked, ignoring the beep and vibrate, but the shock stopped him. He looked around for what had "bitten" him. Then he saw the dog on the TV again, and started barking. First the beep, then vibrate, and the shock stopped him again. He gave a yelp and ran to hide. I am no animal psychologist, but I bet he thinks that the animal on TV didn't like being barked at, and bit him to show who's boss. He got the message. At this point, we removed the collar, set it vibrate only, unscrewed the electrodes for greater comfort, and have not used the shock setting since. After that first use, he rarely needs the collar. If an animal shows up on TV, he growls very softly. If he barks, we just show him the collar, and he usually self-regulates. He has asked to have the collar put on at least twice, like he asks to put on the harness he wears when going for walks. Seems odd. The vibrate feature has been triggered only twice by barks at the TV. The change in his behavior is impressive. BTW, we don't use the collar except if the TV is on. He knows he can and should warn us about suspicious noises and valid dog-type threats. He now seems to be calmer overall. Possible improvements? Ideally, you could adjust the shock intensity or duration even lower, and have intensity stay the same before the safety cutoff (which our dog never approached - 2 shocks interrupted his out-of-control pattern.)

It Really Works!
Let me start off by saying this is the third collar we have purchased to control our dogs barking. We started with a citronella collar and within two weeks our dog was blowing that off and then we had to look for another solution. We purchased another brand of shock collar and the collar broke within two weeks of using. We thought we would give it one more try and we are so glad we did. We purchased THE. DINJOO Smart bro training collar and it will be the last one we own. This seems straight forward and easy to use. We put our setting on 3 ( have a large dog) and witching 3 days we no longer use the collar this stopped our barking problem. When our dog starts barking we ell her to stop or we will have to put the collar on her and show her the collar. Our dog is very smart and figured it out in a few days with the lest amount of reminder. We are extremely pleased and wil use this for every barking dog we adopt for now on. We expect this one color will last a long time if we only had to use it for a few days. We are more than pleased and our neighbors are so much happier as well as our association who told us to get the barking under control as it was bothering the neighbor. I donโt like nuisance barkers (as our dog was) so we tried everything we knew and hit the right product on the third try. I usually donโt do reviews but it helped us so much we wanted to let other know. It is a well built easy to use tool that is humane. This is well made and looks nice.

Seriously great collar!
This collar has turned out to be a game changer in my house and Iโm totally floored by how well it has worked! We have two dogs in our home - a lab/pit mix and my working partner, a big, strong headed German shepherd. My shepherd makes a big pain in the neck out of himself on days when we arenโt working. Guarding the house, patrolling, vocalizing for attention and just generally being a shepherd. Heโs the greatest dog Iโve ever had, but heโs also LOUD which has taught my other dog the joys of loudnessโฆ This collar surprised me right away. The build quality is fantastic. It feels like it is of solid construction and will last a long time. More importantly though, itโs configuration options are simple to understand, easy to adjust and highly effective. You can choose a combination of beeping, vibration and shock and the collar has the option to set the sensitivity for optimal performance. The sensitivity adjustment is probably the most important part of this for me. In the past when using lesser collars, the lab/pit figured out that if my shepherd is being annoying, he could bark a couple of times and set off his buddyโs collar lol. Itโs a great trick but it became overused to the point where we abandoned bark collars for a bit. Now, both dogs are wearing one but I have the sensitivity dialed in to where it keeps each of them quiet and it doesnโt go off if one collar is on the charger and one dog barks at the other! Beyond this, all corrections are individually selectable. Between the beeps d the vibration strength, thereโs been no need to us the shock function. Still, itโs great to know Iโve got that level of correction banked in case we need it! Finally, the battery life is fantastic! With one week under our belts with the new collar, the battery is showing no signs of needing to be charged. The screen clearly shows everything you need to know about the collar and the battery indicator is nearly full. This isnโt a device that will require co start babysitting to keep it running and I love that. All in all, I couldnโt be more pleased with this thing! It has restored peace in the house while leaving g me with enough flexibility to escalate corrections down the road if needed. The configuration is easy to adjust, especially with the large, easy to read screen. And the battery life is far superior to other models Iโve used. I suspect this is the last bark collar Iโll be purchasing for a long time and Iโm grateful for the quality design and well thought out functionality!

The Collar Works, My Dog Doesn't
We have a sweet, gentle little poodle mix who has never uttered a single peep outdoors. But indoors she apparently thinks she's head of security, and barks at anything and everything that makes a sound. Somebody walks down the stairs, she barks. Open the dishwasher, she barks. Phone pings, she barks. Needless to say, this got aggravating in a big way, very quickly. No amount of training we could muster had any impact, so we opted to try this bark collar. First, the product: It does what it says it does. Easy to operate. Easy to see the screen and work the controls, even for an elder person such as myself. Good strong clip and nylon collar. Keeps the charge for days. Has an intelligible user guide. All good. 5 stars. And the results: Eh, it sorta works? It has definitely decreased the amount of barking, that's for sure, thankfully. But it didn't go to zero. Some things dropped off her radar, but others apparently are just too important, and she's willing to put up with the consequences. At first we used just the sound and vibration mode, and that caught her by surprise, but she quickly learned to ignore it. Now we're on sound, vibration, and tingle. She'll bark once, then wait for the punishment, then growl for a bit, then let out another bark, and so on. None of which has anything to do with the product. So would I recommend it? Yes, I think its a good bark collar. Will it work for you? That's up to your dog and you. Note that I'm docking one star because this company requires that you register your email address before they "send you a link" to a video that explains how to use their product. That is a shady business practice in my book, and I won't do business with them again because of it. I never did receive any links to videos.

Collar & customer service is great!
I've been using this collar since Sept 2023 & in January 2024 it just stopped working. I contacted thr company by email & explained what happened & they sent me out another collar as replacement! Extremely happy with their service! Collar is great though I have yet to use the shock portion of it, for it hasn't been necessary. It works great on dogs with the sound & vibrate!

Worked GREAT - for one day.
I was initially impressed with this collar, it looked good, easy to use, fit well, and has all the features I was looking for. It was also very effective on the noise/vibration setting at a low sensitivity; the results were there. On day two, after being charged all night, I was able to turn the collar on, but when I took it off my dog at the end of the day, I noticed there were no flashing lights (indicating it was working). Nothing happened when I pushed the power button, no lights when I plugged it in, and after charging all night, the collar still wouldn't turn on. The screen is black, and nothing is working at all. So - very disappointing.

Have only had the device for two days but so far so good, have set it to vibrate and sound mode and our dod has hardly barked since, he does not seem to notice it and has slept with it on with no problems. Is well made and easy to use.
