Mattel Juice Box Personal Media Player - Red

OMG!!! When I first got the juice box im like i can watch movies,tv,music videos and more?! THEN when i tried the sample chip im like omg this is like the best thing ever!!!! You cant use the mp3 starter kit on mac though. I have Windows so it works for me! The sound quality is almost better then an ipod; trust me because my friend has one and i have listened to it. and you CAN view digital photos. like i have a bunk bed and i listened to it while i was sleeping and it fell off my bed witch is at the top and it still works!!8) this is the absoulute perfect toy for ages 9-15. so yah. I feel as if I must warn everyone out there. This is a now defunct product and either the MP3 itself or the website will give your computer a virus that will hide all of your music and photo files, destroy all of your files in windows media player, and basically just wreak chaos on your pc for your music AND PHOTOS. Beware!

I have found another use for this toy. My daughter is non-verbal autistic, and the Juice Box, along with the MP3 starter kit converts into a digital image viewer that my duaghter can scroll through and "choose" what she wants. We use it as a communication tool for her with digital photos. I am heart-broken it's been discontinued as it is such a great device for this specific use. It is also durable enough that we let her take it back and forth to school.

Before you buy this, check out when the last review was written. Yup 2004. Thought I'd do you a favor and make sure you realize that because I didn't. This is a 2004 mp3 player with a color screen like an old color gameboy so expect it to be just that. I got it for my 4 year old who asks me to sing the star wars theme song every night and I wanted something portable for him to bring to bed with him. Well after downloading the mp3 from amazon and it not working I realized I had to convert the mp3 to 128 kbps for it to handle it. This thing runs on a little cartridges that stick out the side, so buying the mp3 converter kit is just an SD card and a converter cartridge. I'm a little worried about him breaking the big mp3 cartridge off, but what the heck I think he'll still like it.

Don't care what people say. This thing got me throught some thought times as a kid.

Poor quality

Yes, this is very old. But as a kid, I loved this, and I'm glad to be able to still play my cartridges after 16 years. Very durable. Doesn't overheat. I had/have poor vision and hearing but this was great as TV on the go before streaming.
