From the reviews I was concerned that these would not be the right match for my taupe Clarke's desert boots in terms of color. In fact, they're just right. Not *exactly* that same color as the original laces, very slightly more olive, but once they're on I don't notice it at all. In fact, I have one original lace and one new one and can't tell the difference. These also seem sturdier than the laces that came with the boots. So fear not, these are the replacement laces you're looking for.

Good and nice colour to match desert boots but after using for 2 years it broke when i was tying the shoelace recently

My husband was looking for shoelaces to replace the shoelaces that ripped on his Clarks desert boots. Oddly the company does not sell replacement shoestrings for their desert boots, so we were trying to find some that were very close to the original, and these were perfect. Maybe a tad longer than the originals but not enough to matter.

The original laces that came with my Distressed Taupe Clark's Desert Boots were going on 4 years old and starting to fall apart. I contacted Clark's and they suggested the Right Lace as being one of their go-to companies for replacement laces. While the laces are a tad thicker than what came with my Clark's, they work well and I appreciate the added thickness as I think it will hold up to more wear and tear and life of the lace down the road. The color was also slightly darker than the original but I think the originals had also faded over 4 years of use, so that one is a draw. Overall, great product and customer service.

This could have been an ordering error on my part, but my husband has the Clarks Desert Boots that are a little taller - they go past his ankle. Because of this, these laces were too short. They wouldn’t even reach all the eyelets on the boots. They’re also advertised as replacement laces for Clark’s Desert Boots, but the original laces are round, while these are flat and braided. Not quite the same, though that isn’t a huge deal. Good quality, but they just didn’t work for us.

My taupe suede desert boots finally blew a tire, so I ordered these laces because Clark's apparently doesn't sell replacement laces for this color. I was worried they would be too dark for my (very) broken in boot, but they matched up really nicely and are strong laces. Very happy with this purchase.

Nearly perfect color match but not exactly perfect. Close enough that I would much rather have the MUCH better quality string than the exact same color. Length is perfect for my chukka boots
