Buyer Beware
I purchased this antenna as a replacement for an antenna with a more limited range. I received it on October 23, 2017 and was very happy with it's performance, especially for such a great price. I'm not one to write reviews right away; I prefer to "road test" a product for a while before rendering an opinion. That said, had I written a review in October, I would have given this antenna 5 stars. However, today (December 18, 2017) I would give it no stars if I could. I had the TV on this morning and noticed a decrease in reception - not unusual given winter weather changes in the Northeast. Within 10 minutes of turning off the television, I heard a loud sizzling sound and then a pop, followed by the unmistakable smell of burnt electronics. I have purchased numerous digital antennas for myself and others and have NEVER had this happen. Unfortunately, since it's past the 30 day return period, I can't even get a replacement. Although, I'd be reticent to use this product again given the circumstances. I'm afraid it could be a fire hazard. Perhaps it was an isolated event and just one defective unit. All I can say is, buyer beware.

Easy to Setup and Use!
I purchased this to replace a small 20-mile antenna that I have been having problems with and I was definitely not disappointed. After setting up this new antenna I gained an additional 15 channels that I was not receiving while using my old antenna! This antenna came with everything that I needed to easily set it up and mount it on the wall. The picture quality was very good and there was a lot less interference in the signal than my previous antenna. My only complaint about the antenna is that the amplifier build quality feels rather cheap and the USB plug sticks out away from the wall very far which made it hard to plug in behind my TV stand. This is a really minor issue though and I have not needed to even use the amplifier to get a good signal at my home. Overall I am very satisfied with this antenna and it is a good value for a great price!

More of a statement than a review.
This is more of a statement than a review so here is my experience and what I have to say. Firstly, I gave this three stars instead of one because it does aid in searching for channels pretty well and it structurally is as advertised. Also there are many contributing factors to my situation. To start off, my area is very populated with multiple houses within feet of each other. This can create signal interference. As well as the fact the house I live in has wiring potentially interfering with the signal. Telephone poles feet away from my house give off electro static which interfere with signals. I factored these into my review. Now for all my experience: 1) it did not acquire any of the channels that are advertised to be available in my area. I was looking for fox and cw and neither came up, which are free via satellite. 2) I tried this with three tvs (lg, Samsung, sony) and no luck with either strong reception or signal durability. Each tv is in a different room in the house. I tried behind the tvs, under/infront on tv table, and against a window (recommended) and all produced the same result. Horrible. 3) the cable was not made of high end material and I noticed a few abrasions on some spots. Given the factors I placed in my first statement, it is difficult for me to give either a one star or an even better rating considering all the variables I have. Take this for what you will. I was able to return this free of charge and I will be researching alternatives acquiring live tv since I personally may not be able to use one of these based on my geographical location and environment. I received this at a discounted price via a website called DealNews which provides me with a coupon through Amazon. I am not affiliated with them in any way, I am only trying to help the consumers. Even so, I'm still returning this since it does not do/help with what I was trying to do. Oh and Amazon's delivery service is horrible. FYI came late, no tracking information. I pay for prime, that's 2 day shipping. Not 4. And it was through Amazon's delivery service. Not ups or fed ex. I never had this issue when Amazon used them. They guarenteed two days. Amazon didn't. And this is the second time they did this. Buyers on amazon, beware of their delivery service. This may/nay not work for you.

It works great. I got 78 channels here in the Dallas/Ft
It works great. I got 78 channels here in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I am 30 miles from all the broadcast towers on the SE side of Dallas. I didn't have to use the amplifier. The coax cable is not RG59U, but it is a mini coax line that is much smaller. I just hung the antenna on the window facing towards the towers in Dallas. Here where I live, we only get standard definition cable service. The picture over-the-air is even better and clearer than the picture with standard digital cable. The 2MHz wide digital off air signal is really good. It isn't as good as the old 6MHz wide analog signals which were great, but these over-the-air signals are really good. I'll try to use the antenna whenever I'm watching channels 2-13 VHF instead of the cable service because the picture is better. And yes, the lower VHF channels come in just fine.

sheet said something like 28 dB)
This review is aimed at other technical people, since there are plenty of reviews for the lay-person. I've been debating for a while whether I should spend the time to design/fabricate a TV antenna for myself or just buy one. I figured it would save me a lot time so I bought this one which I regret. Signal level was high, as expected with such a high gain LNA (I think the spec. sheet said something like 28 dB), but SNR was poor which made it useless. It significantly under-performed a similarly sized passive bow-tie I hacked together in a few minutes (without even simulating/optimizing). Either this LNA has a significantly worse NF than my receiver or the passive gain is really low. Either way, this antenna is garbage.

Simple, Easy, Affordable.
I cut the cord with cable 12 years ago and since have had only Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. Don't get me wrong I love my streaming services but you can only watch so much new stuff then have to wait for more to be added. Also to be honest I really missed watching local news and weather on TV. This antenna is extremely affordable and easy to install. You literally plug it into your TV then into the wall outlet. It also comes with a signal amplifier which helps when you live in a small rural area like I do. Unfortunately I was only able to get 6 channels with this one mounted in my bedroom, but of those 6 I did actually get the one local news channel that I've really been wanting so as far as I'm concerned that's a success. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to receive their local stations for a reasonable price.
