This is another really good storage unit and works very well for adding usable shelving in smaller spaces. The design is more narrow, which helps it fit into tighter areas, but it still offers a good amount of storage space. It feels reasonably sturdy and stable for its size, especially when used for typical household items. Assembly was straightforward and similar to other units of this type. Once put together, it feels solid and works well for organizing different items. I am using it for additional storage, and like the other bookcase units I have, it helps make unused space much more functional. What I like: Good storage capacity for a narrower unit Stable and reasonably sturdy Easy to assemble Helps maximize smaller or tighter spaces Versatile for different uses around the home Things to be aware of: Best for light to moderate storage Not intended for very heavy items Overall: This is a practical and efficient shelving unit that works well for organizing and maximizing space. This shelf was easy to put together and the perfect size for what I needed it for. Even though it's not real wood grain, it's made well enough that it looks natural. It's a great accent to the room.

Not only does that mean that I was not able to install the important safety hardware, it also means that had I’ve been successful, and the shelf went to tip. It is unlikely that the screws would have remained in the wood, but rather would have the shelf to freefall without any restraint. If you’re reading this, I will try to remember to upload whatever solution I come up with when I come up with it. However, some ideas I have are using liquid nails to attach a canvas strap that I then attach using a drywall anchor to the wall, a attaching a bracket to the underside of the top back ledge with several screws that I can then attach a drywall anchor to

I have purchased two of these units for my home office, at two separate times. I want to start by saying I like this shelf because the back of it is actual panels and not the flimsy cardboard like other products have given. On to the review: The first one I purchased was beautiful, didn't take long to put together and I was so happy I decided to buy a second one. Now, the second one came and it was a little less quality. I found that there were scratches on some pieces and the assembly was just not as easy - and I'm sure that I followed the same steps. It's not hard to put together, it's very intuitive and just straight screws so I'm not sure what the disconnect was. Over all, I am happy with this product, I would purchase again.

This is a really good bookcase when you simply want to store somethings in a narrow space. I was not trying to match room decor or make anything really pretty. I basically needed to get some things off the floor and organize a worn out three tier bookcase from Walmart that was getting filled with craft items. Both are the same depth but I prefer this for the height beside my window, while the other is below the window. It is very dark and, yes, the shelves are black on top and the brown particle board underneath but I don't mind and if I did I would use the contact paper available from Amazon to freshen it up. The shelves are like dark caverns anyway so a light paper on the back for decoration and top would be welcome. I actually purchased remote control puck lights on here to light the back of the shelves. Otherwise, the other complaint of some is the screws being surface screws and silver and the shelves not being adjustable are not an issue for me. The screws stick out about 1/4 inch but are heavy duty screws made to resist digging in and wear from movement, so I actually do not mind. The color can be covered with nail polish or permanent marker or if I wanted to hide all together I would use some hinged screw caps to get rid of the eyesore. For me this is utility and it serves my purpose well. Invest in at least 10 more dollars worth of additional items or if you have them at home as leftovers like I do, you can make this work on a budget. It does need to screwed to wall or stabilized because it is definitely a tipping hazard. Will be buying more when it comes back in stock.

I bought 2 of these to use in my pantry/laundry room. They are the perfect width in the space next to my washing machine. They also happen to be the same height of the machines too. I planned to use them one behind the other to create deep storage shelves next to the machines. I put the backing on the one at the back, but left the backing off the front one. This setup created double-deep storage. Leaving the backing off the front unit, allows being able to reach through the front cabinet to items in the back. There is a slight gap between the units when I stand them one in front of the other. I considered screwing or securing them together somehow, but they don't move around and I'm not storing anything that will fall through a 1/8" gap, so I just left well enough alone. One alteration I did need to make however, was that I needed to adjust the height of the shelves because large bulk products that I intended this storage to hold, were too tall for the shelf spacing. Not only did I need to store laundry detergent items, but I also wanted to store some bulk pantry items, ie paper towels, gallon jugs of vinegars and oils. Since these are all heavy items, I decided to store these on the bottom and raise the height of the middle shelf. I just drilled new holes for the screws that secure the shelves. I measured and set the new heights the same for both units. I also had to cut the backing on the back unit to fit. Many of these kinds of assemble-yourself units have one sheet of backing that just gets tacked onto the entire back of the unit. This particular unit however, has individually sized backs that slide into grooves behind each shelf. The shelf that I raised needed its' backing to be cut to size. I just scored it using a box cutter, then bent and snapped it to size. This also meant that the backing for the larger shelf, now was too small. Not a big deal for me. Not only was my newly enlarged shelf space on the very bottom, but in my case, this unit was at the back and the gap is not visible at all. In a nutshell, they work perfectly and especially for the price, I cannot be happier. The only con I can mention, is that the screws on both sides of the unit are not recessed and they are clearly visible. The cabinet is white, and the screws are brass colored. In my situation, I'm using this in my pantry/laundry room so that's not a concern, but something to keep in mind depending on where you plan on using it

The dimensions and color for the shelf were accurate, and assembly was easy enough with the Allen wrench that was provided. I am taking off two stars because the pictures for this product are deceptive. The product pictures clearly show a shelf with smooth outsides. The reality is that the screws are raised and visible after assembly. The pictures also indicated that the shelves would have a veneer on top and bottom, but the reality is that only one side of the shelf has a veneer. The veneer was very thin and had scratches before I assembled it. The piece is functional, but not beautiful.

Pros: Easy assembly with only the 4 tack gliders and 4 Allen wrench screws per shelf. Looks decent and seems sturdy enough to hold the books it will hold. Cons: A few pieces were damaged slightly in shipping- cosmetic only but maybe speaks to the overall quality. Screws are visible on the sides of the unit and don’t have any sort of cover as I have seen on other similar products Underside of the shelves are unfinished, so if you look from seated you will see this.

My husband wanted a little bookcase for his cookbooks that would be handy to the kitchen, and this little case was a perfect fit. He said it was easy to but together. It also had brackets to attach to the wall if it is needed. Delivered in a very timely manner.

Bookshelf is super easy to assemble, ours came undamaged and took about 20 minutes to build. I was a bit worried about the dimensions as I didn’t have any wiggle room for even an inch larger than what it was listed as (see corner where shelf is in photo) but it was cut exactly to spec and worked perfectly. Overall no complaints, a bit expensive for how big it is but it does exactly what I need it to do.

Assembly was straightforward and this is so much sturdier than any Walmart brand stuff. The back panels are heavier and they slot into place in a way that it would take a lot of force to break them. Super happy with this shelf.

The best book case ever

Product arrived with no damage to pieces even though the box was a bit dinged up. Super easy to put together coming from someone who usually leaves the assembly to others in the fam :) Will see how it stands up but so far, so good.
