Great Quality
Incredibly premium feeling and seems to do a great job. Way better than the normal ones you get and this seems to be a space where spending more actually has a good return on investment. Anyone who is thinking about it should just go for it. It'll be well worth your money.

Amazing torque wrench with an amazing warranty that cannot be beat!!
This split beam torque wrench is one of the best!! Extremely well built, quality, and a lifetime warranty that you cannot beat!! This torque wrench took a beating for 3 years in a shop environment before it gave out on me. Everyday, for hours and hours, upwards of 7 people used this torque wrench, and it was not treated well at all during those 3 years lol. Thrown, dropped, run over, got wet, etc. It remained accurate month after month and never let me down!! When it did finally give up, it was time to file a warranty claim. I messaged tekton through their website at 4:10pm on November 29th and at 4:12pm on November 29th, the same day, only 2 minutes later, I had a new torque wrench in the mail on the way to me. You couldn't even see the issue through the photos I submitted because the issue was internal and I offered to send a video, but they didn't even care!! They just took my word for it and 2 minutes later I had a new one on the way!! Unbelievable!! You cannot go wrong with tekton guys!! They keep improving, they keep innovating, and they stand behind their product. They are one of the only tool companies left that are still doing things right!! No receipts, no time limits, you don't have to be the original owner, and you can reef on these tools knowing your covered. They are making more and more tools in usa and they bring you a quality product at a price that makes sense. I try to buy tekton tools when I can and I've never regretted it, and you won't either. This company will only continue to grow and continue to innovate. They are among some of the best and continue to surprise me every year. They are family owned and operated, and if you want quality at a great price, with an unbeatable warranty, this is your brand!! Happy to be a customer and it's been awesome watching them grow into the company they are today!! Suck it snap on!!

High Quality Tool That Does The Job Well
This is a high quality tool for the price. I am not a professional mechanic, just a weekend warrior. This tool works well for all of my home automotive work and for the work on my Harley. I liked it, so I bought a 1/4 drive Tekton as well. Time will tell how they hold up, but I am impressed so far.

Perect in every way
If you are looking for a torque wrench of this size, you have found it. It is absolutely worth the price. It is so easy to set the torque, and it gives you a good clean audible snap. It has great grips, and looks really cool (bonus). This company really nailed it with this product. Get one.

Solid tool, but the adjustment should be better.
The split beam design took a little getting used to. On a twist handle wrench, the effort to twist increases as you set it for higher torques, but on the split beam it's just a little knob that's easy to turn regardless of the torque setting. On the Tekton, the adjustment knob feels loose and the semi-circular setting scale is small and doesn't seem precise. The wrench seems to be accurate when compared side-by-side with other wrenches, though. There's a large scale on the back that looks like it should be the setting view, but it's just a sticker with a standard/metric conversion - I wish it was a nice big view window for the setting. The knob is secured in place with a spring loaded cover. Watch your fingers - the spring is heavy and I've smacked the bed of my fingernail a few times. The click is softer on the Tekton vs my old twist handle wrench, so you have to pay attention. The wrench is solid and feels good in your hand. It looks pretty cool, too. I like the range of torques it can cover and the small amount of flex in the head is a nice feature. I just want the setting dial and scale to be more precise feeling.

Nice torque wrench.
Purchased for wheel work and it does the job. Set and forget with split beam, so it doesn't bother you if you forget to unwind as you should for click-style torque wrenches.

Pleasure to use.
I've used a lot of different micrometer torque wrenches. This is my first beam wrench. First the bad: the head is not reversible like my aviation micrometer wrenches, nor is the ratchet reversible, so you'll not be torquing reverse threaded fasteners or measure release torque on a conventional fastener. On the other hand, It work fine for 98% of what I normally use such a wrench for so it's my new go to. The good: the long handle is a pleasure to torque say lug nuts to 140 ft lbs than some shorter handled wrenches I've used and the head pivots a little to clear a tire or surface without an extension. The adjustment is super fast with the small nob, super easy to read in just about any lighting since it's not just engraved markings, is secure since it's protected by a cover that snaps over it when not adjusting, and can be left at whatever setting intentionally or accidentally without fear of ruining a spring like the micrometer style wrenches. The click is very distinctly audible and tactile. I also love how the wrench is boxy instead of round so it doesn't roll around on the floor or in a drawer and I can even step on it while I pull the socket off with no need to press a socket release button like some other wrenches. There are certainly cheaper, smaller, lighter, crappier torque wrenches out there, but if you use torque wrenches a lot, consider this American wrench set for your tool box.

Excellent torque!
Got mine for a while now and compared to calibrated Proto both 3/8 and 1/2. The Tekton were on par with calibration but 1 Proto is 600$. The Tekton were used for torquing flanges on 4 inch ANSI and some API flanges, worked great too got the job done no leaks all is good!

Great tool
My first split beam torque wrench and have to say this is a fantastic tool very precise and easy to set and calibrate, well worth paying slight more over a deflecting beam wrench.

Excellent torque wrench.
Bought this torque wrench to tighten mission critical internal engine fasteners. Didn't want to take a chance on some no name brand, non-certified bit of cheap kit. Glad I bought it. Very easy to set and use. You can feel the click through the handle and it is so loud that I thought I had snapped a bolt the first time I used. Very well made tool, feels great in the hand.

Good product and good warranty
Very good torque wrench. Used it in a shop daily for about 3 years. Ratchet started sliping, took a picture for warranty. Got a ratchet rebuild for free.

Great tool ยฝ the price of the tool truck
This tool works great, has a good feel with pronounced click which I appreciate. I compared the torque and it is accurate to the spec set.
