Don't be deceived by alignment. It will work out, no longer bolts needed.
After reading several comments that the holes didn't line up and having to get longer bolts, I hoped that I would have better luck. To my dismay, I tried to line the holes up, they didn't align (as seen in the picture). I started to assemble despite the alignment issue. I followed the bolt pattern spelled out in the directions. I thought maybe I would drill new holes, but decided against it and continued. I used a screwdriver in neighboring holds to help with alignment and quickly started to see the holes starting to align as I assembled. The trick is to catch a few threads on each bolt. Once all bolts are in, start to tighten the bolts in the same pattern and it will tighten perfectly.... no issues... no longer bolts needed. It does help to lay the slide on its side when assembling too. The slide is sturdy and works great. My kids love it... and so do I! I got the 5ft Super Summit Slide. I hope this helps! I highly recommend!

Nice Slide
As alot of reviews state its not the easiest to put together. That being said, I found it much easier to live up the two holes labeled in the instructions as 1 and 2, then take a screwdriver and put it in another hole and pull until the next holes line up. Now some reviews say the bolts were to short, if you try and use the washers they are, so for that I say put a few bolts and nuts on without washers, use the screwdriver to get them lined up, fully tighten the bolts you get started, then you can put both washers on the remaining bolts take the first couple without washers loose and add washers as instructed. All in all with a few minor set backs I listed above I had this slide together in about 20-30 mins. Seems to be nice and sturdy as well.

DON"T BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK! This Slide Came With Holes That Did NOT Align Well
I would have given this slide a higher rating because it is a decent slide but it is a bit flimsy on the sides and most objectionably the holes don't line up well between two of the sections. That is sloppy quality control on a $185 slide! There is little excuse for that. But I don't want to send it back because my son's birthday is in 2 days.It will work well enough but I am disappointed. Because of this sloppy quality control I would NOT recommend buying this slide. If I could get them to send me a new middle piece with correct holes then I would change my rating. UPDATE: THIS SLIDE IS ALREADY FAILING. IT IS BOWING AND WARPING. IT IS TOO FLIMSY AND THIN. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY.

HARD to assemble, metal plates do not fit, mounting holes in plastic sections not aligned well
7 days after purchase, it had still not shipped (by Amazon) and had to talk with a Amazon rep who was able to escalate the shipping for the next day, slide arrived 2 days later as promised by the rep. Assembly is straight forward, matching "flat" slide section to a "grooved" slide section secured with 2 metal identical metal plates at each slide "joint" - the problem is all 4 metal plate (2 per slide joint) are exactly the same, but the curvature of the 2 joining sections of the slide are not exactly the same, thus it is very [very] difficult to put together. Best option was to get the supplied bolt through the 2 opposite lower/outer holes first, which was a challenge having to literally twist and slightly bend the metal plates to line up with the molded holes in each slide section. The install a 3rd bolt in the very center hole...this took using a "C" clamp to force the 2 metal plates together enough so the bolt was through the holes enough to start the nut. Be aware, the holes on each slide section to NOT line up properly and I had to fight with the angle of the bolt to get through both holes. Plus dealing with the slope/angle of the slide made all this even harder. This design obviously looked ok on a CAD or whatever software was used for the design, but the reality is the actual fabrication is not accurate concerning the size/shape of the metal plates and thus how they line up with the misplaced holes in the 2 sections of the slide being joined together. Yes, we were able to make it work through about an hour of frustrating assembly that required 2 adults and numerous extra tools to force things to line up. Note: the screws to mount the slide to a wooden deck, or similar installation, are NOT included and basic wood screws will easily pull through the plastic lip at the top of the slide or time - consider having mountings screws with large flat heads, or adding fender-type washers under regular wood screws. Indentions for 4 place for the mounting screws are on the underside of the slide - but we used 3 additional since the upper mounting edge did not lay flat at all with noticeable 3/4" gaps that small belts or pockets would get caught on before sliding. Add the 3 extra screws pulled these gaps down to less than 1/4". All-in-all, the slide assembly design makes sense, particularly for shipping in a reasonable sized box....but the poor design of metal plates and holes in the plastic slide at the joint not lining up is a real pain, and could have be so easily avoided...I actually wonder if anyone, anywhere in the production process even tried to assembly just 1 slide unit before just mass producing them and selling them way above their worth for what your get.

Great Slide, But Difficult Assembly
Before ordering this slide, I read multiple reviews where people said it was a strong slide and I read multiple reviews in which people complained about the frustrating assembly of the slide. I figured that I tend to have a pretty easy time putting most things together and that other people often don't follow directions, so I ordered it. When I opened the package I was impressed in how sturdy the slide was and the fact that there were metal backing plates that help strengthen the joints between the three separate pieces of the slide. I followed the directions very closely and made sure to follow the specific bolt pattern laid out in the directions when attaching the pieces together. However, even with following the specific bolt pattern I still ended up with holes that didn't want to line up enough to put a bolt through them and finger tighten the nuts by hand. Thankfully, I have a garage full of tools and used some clamps that I had to squeeze the pieces together while I used an impact driver with a socket attachment to drive the bolts through the holes and an adjustable wrench to hold the nut in place while I drove the bolt the rest of the way through. Overall, assembly took about 25 minutes. Attaching the slide was rather easy. I had built a platform that was 4' 11" tall and the slide attached to it quite easily. However, the four screws that come with the slide are a little short and didn't really feel like they were biting into enough wood to hold up over time, so I also added a few other longer screws in addition to what they supplied to add a little extra strength. Overall, how the slide works is fantastic. It's super fast and sturdy and even though it's a little big for my 4 year old, she'll grow into it and will be able to use it for years (which is what I wanted). The assembly was a little frustrating and took additional tools in order to put it together on my own. An extra set of hands would've probably helped a bit, but I still would have needed the clamps and the impact driver with the socket attachment. If I get a chance later I will take a photo of it and add it to my review. In conclusion.... Strength/Sturdiness: 5 Stars Ease of Assembly: 1 Star Installation: 4 Stars Enjoyment/Use: 5 Stars

Perfect alignment
Contrary to all of the comments about holes not lining up. I used a #1 philips round shaft screwdriver as a drift and all holes lined up. The screws were easy to install.

Great slide but tricky to assemble.
Assembling this slide took a bit more thought and effort than I expected. It seemed like the brackets did not quite fit right at first. I found that using something (a screwdriver) to align one of the center holes while I installed the side bolts helped. I then had to use my impact driver to get the center bolt/nut started. Once the side bolts/nuts and center bolt/nut were started, it pulled the rest of the holes into alignment making the remaining bolts/nuts easier to install. Once assembled, the slide is very sturdy and met my expectations.
